Just for info on 17 draft-
Sam Vecine said that the #10 pick in the NBA draft probably has the same value as the #3 pick in this year's draft.
Chad Ford recently said that the 17 draft is absolutely loaded. In fact, he continued by saying it's one of the best drafts he's seen.
Yeah, that's a bit of hyperbole from Vecine. A solid bit of it even.
When it's a team's turn to draft, they won't randomly select a player because they're all the same value. They won't shrug and roll a die, or spin a wheel. Each team knows who they think is best, and they have reasons for it. And if you pick at #3, you can get your guy. Guaranteed. At #4, you probably can get your guy, unless you and #3 have the same opinions. At #8, you're likely not going to get that number 3 player on your board. You might still get someone you like, but the odds are high that it won't be the player you like the most. At #10, it's just not happening.
Just because a reporter might hear different evaluations from different team DOES NOT mean that the value is the same. That's not how value works. It's a lazy, hyperbolic statement from Vecine.
