I have mentioned this a few times.  The kid is PRO on and off the court.  I'd be happy at #3.

thanks.

Like the commentators have mentioned , he is not a basketball player yet.   He has been utilising his athleticism  (alot more) in his young career

But reading things like he is waking up at 5am to start his workouts (following Kobe footsteps) puts a smile on my face.  Shows me he is trying very hard to become a pro basketball player sooner than later (head start)

I'm confused. What exactly are you thanking the previous poster for? He didn't complement you or your comments, he just expressed his positive impressions on Jaylen Brown. Are you actually Jaylen Brown?

I think he's actually Donald Trump.

lol
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

This was already posted in another thread which you replied to. Why start a new thread for it? Mods should merge this.

Because this is a separate but important new event

No. This was very much mentioned in another thread that you comment in regularly (draft workouts thread).  There was already a decent discussion going on there, which you participated in.  You don't need to start a new thread every time you're bored.

I don't check draft workout thread. So I appreciate the heads up.

Situation:  After the 2nd workout, the Celtics are ready to pick Brown with the 3rd pick.

76ers take Simmons and for whatever reason the Lakers skip on Ingram.

Does Danny still pick Brown or takes Ingram?

Brown is good, but there is no way in heck am I passing up Brandon Ingram....

He has a very high ceiling, and there are concerns he may or may not miss it. But regardless his athleticism, vertical, shooting, and his ability to score should not be understated. Brown is a better offensive player, but I'm not convinced Brown is going to have a better career than Ingram.

Take Ingram. The pick is not available in any trades. Good night.

I second the thanks to Tri-boy. After the first 2 pages of the draft workout thread I gave up on it.

Speaking of Brown, How many good shooters have the Celtics taken in the first round of the draft over the past 10 years? I am struggling to find one. Sully doesn't count. Dare I say Green in 2007 who we traded for Ray Allen?

One day it would be nice for us to find an end of the game shooter who can actually help us win in crunch time. I am definitely not in the I hope the Celtics draft Brown category and he suddenly discovers how to shoot better.

He shot 65% from the FT last year and had a .43% FG percentage and to top it off, he was under 30% from 3..Oh Joy....Sure doesn't sound like pick 3 material..I would rather take a chance on someone with a bit more upside on the offensive end or at least someone who can put the ball in the basket. It took Avery years before he improved his shooting and many of us fans did not believe that day would ever come. Great to hear that Brown was so impressive in his first workout but we have a whole year of college to analyze on how he did.

Defense is great for our team but we actually need to get the ball in the basket more than our competition in the playoffs. I dread the idea of improving our defense even further with no improvement on the offensive side of things. Since Brown cannot shoot as of right now, I would imagine Danny is salivating...ugh....Dont do it Danny...

Lakers brought Heild in for a second workout today and play one of the coaches 1 on 1.

You know there's a google doc right? You don't even have to read the thread, I put every single name in the doc. It's linked in my sig

As saltlover mentioned in another thread...he shot better than that in conference play., which is a positive indicator.

Take Ingram, especially if Lakers take Brown!! But seriously, if both available, it will depend on whom they value more.  I still say Ingram will be taken by Lakers. Just can't see them passing on him.

Do they like Heild enough to trade Russell for him? It sounds like it. They would still have Clarkson at PG. They passed on Okafor for Russell. Okafor apparently can't get Phili a top 6 pick so does Russell get the Lakers a top 6 pick?
