Is Ingram really that good?  I've heard conflicting things.  Maybe he'll slip.

Do tell ;D.
My samosa guy tells me Ingram is one of only two guys in the entire draft with star potential.

My gulab jamun guy tells me that Ingram is years away from amounting to anything and isn't a dramatically better prospect than the guys expected to be drafted after him... that supposedly Ben Simmons is the closest thing the draft has to "can't miss" and nobody else really qualifies.

Second workouts usually mean they are undecided
But considering that Ingram and Simmons are consensus top players
It is hard to see them deviating from them

I think Dunn has star potential. He is clear BPA at 3. The reason why he is not clear no.3 pick is because the Celtics are too deep at the guard spot.

I've been watching a lot more of Dunn, and this is what I'm starting to think as well. If we weren't so stacked at guard I really do think he could easily be the choice. He's so crafty, great tools, he can really be a great player in the NBA. I'm open to moving a guy like Avery or Marcus along with other assets for Love, and then taking Dunn at 3. Love should not cost us the 3rd pick.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Based on rumor and speculation I think the Suns and Lakers are having trade talks around the 2nd pick. I have no idea who would be involved for players but Bledsoe is recently rumored to be on the market and the lakers working out player in the 4-8 range raises eye brows. I also think the Cs will make a hard push for a trade down and wouldn't be shocked if Hield was a target of a pick in the 7-10 range however my gut still tells me brown is DAs guy.

Nobody has ever compared Hield to Harden, nobody.  He is thought of as a very good shooter but  not one who can drive and finish.

Here's what Draft express says about him and his weaknesses.

"He can be a little bit predictable when putting the ball on the floor, as he almost always pulls up off the dribble or tries to execute a step back when driving left, and will try to get all the way to the rim when going right (which is rare). Not blessed with an elite first step, he can still stand to continue to improve his advanced ball-handling skills to create space in the half-court. In traffic, as he doesn't always have the size or explosiveness to finish effectively against rim-protectors, and thus relies very heavily on his shot-making prowess from the perimeter."

http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Buddy-Hield-58749/

How is that anywhere near Harden?

http://www.nbadraft.net/players/buddy-hield

They've changed it. It used to be just Harden. Even CJ McCollum is much more natural at getting to the rim than Hield is.

That says more about NBAdraft.net than it says about Hield!

Agreed. They exaggerate something a lot of people have done with Hield: assume that he can be a driver in the NBA.

I think he will be able to attack some closeouts, but he is basically a spot up shooter in the NBA. Think George Hill with less point guard skills (40% three point shooter), or Courtney Lee, or even Jodie Meeks.

I think he has intangibles that make him more valuable than Lee or Meeks.

Lol, George Hill has point guard skills?

No he doesn't, but I stand by the comparison.

Interesting, who would the Suns pick at #2?

God, I could just see Ingram falling to 3 and Ainge still picking Brown or Dunn because they "play the Celtic way" or because they have "intangibles". We need a star, and a team full of all defense, no offense hustle players can only go so far. If he falls, DRAFT HIM.

Specifically, what makes you believe ainge sees no intangibles or Celtics way in Ingram? Or this is simple pre-draft angst?  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Sixers supposedly love Dunn. Wish we could give them 3rd pick plus their choice of anyone on oh roster for Simmons.

Mostly pre-draft angst lol. From what I've read though he seems like a hard worker and down to earth.

If true that explains Lakers putting Hield and Brown through second workout. One of them guaranteed to be available at 4.

Ingram. No other reason to trade up to 2.

Apparently the consensus amongst scouts/front offices is that Hield is a 4th tier level prospect (projects as a fringe starter) in the 8-14 range.  Too much to ask for him to slip to 16?

Probably Bender.
