We also received #35 overall in the 2007 draft.
That is much less than #3, Bradley or Crowder, and some other pick(s) or prospect(s). Allen and Butler both had/have three years left on their deals. I'd argue that despite being 5 years older, Allen was still the better player.
Wally's contract was also terrible -- it was about 25% of the cap with two years remaining. Compare that to AB's contract which is under 10% of the cap.
The Bulls should get picks and prospects. They should not get players who would solidly be in our rotation, playing 25-30 minutes a night.
