Green is dirty. Should have been suspended for the Adams groin hit, and have no issue with his groin hit on James being called a flagrant as it was a flagrant foul. If he wasn't so dirty the flagrant wouldn't have gotten him suspended.
Except it wasn't a flagrant foul, that is a technical foul. Anything resulting from an altercation between two players is considered a technical foul.
But Green needed two techs to get a suspension and only 1 flagrant foul point to get suspended, easy to see why the NBA went against protocol and assigned it as a flagrant.
But that's the NBA, they make this stuff up as they go, and always have.
Exactly. Of course, the NBA's rationale is that it was a live ball foul and not a dead-ball one, but it was ridiculous that the whistle wasn't blown after Green was pushed to the ground right in front of the refs, and even moreso after the obvious LeBron taunt immediately thereafter.
They should have suspended him for the Adams hit, but you can't make up for it two weeks later.
Sure you can, they just did.
Why are people arguing for Green?
His reckless behavior for the entire playoffs has been on display, eventually he's going to get suspended. Being so concerned about the technicality of whether it should have been a tech or a flagrant 1 is strange. The idea that he should have suspended earlier but not now is weird to me.
I guess that is my point. Green has been picking up flagrant fouls consistently. He is the dirtiest player in the NBA and frankly I don't think it is close. He is a punk, plain and simple. He deserved to be suspended for his antics.
