Where do you stand?  I guess we've learned some with Chriss rising.  Murray shattering records.  Love maybe being gone.  Butler being hard to get.  I think I stand where I did though.  Bender or Brown.  Chriss hasn't done enough to unseat those guys.  Murray maybe but I would still opt to go bigger.  Or trade the pick.  Durant is a possibility I feel.  I'd like to get a good young player at 3 and continue to explore trades and options over the summer.

Things will change once bender starts working out for us, but I'm in the dunn/bender/Chriss camp. I've watched a decent amount of tape on Brown and I just don't see the huge appeal of a freak athlete who isn't great at the game of basketball.

I really like Brown's personality and physical profile, but I generally agree with your sentiment, with the glaring exception of if that player is a center.

I am also in the Dunn camp. I don't know if I want the Cs to pick him, but I see him as the third best player in the draft - super explosive, intense, skilled, and not a horrible shooter. I won't be surprised if he is the next Wade.

Still holding out hope (dim, at best) that they flip #3 as part of a larger package in a trade.

I'm not too worried (yet) about our ability to trade #3. My guess would be that #3 doesn't get traded until #2 comes off the board.

I agree with everything you just said. Add phenomenal passer and huge defensive potential to Dunn and we are in the same camp lol.

Also I approached this as if we are drafting the pick. If we trade it, I really don't want anything less than a bonefide star. I don't think we should give up the farm for Butler. Giving up the 3rd pick for 3 years of "prime melo" would be foolish. I also don't think Love is worth moving the 3 for. Basically Cousins, George, Griffin and Butler in that order are the star level this pick is worth moving. Will any of those get done? Probably not, so draft here we come.

Sorry, meant what I think will happen.  Not the actual timing.

But, yeah, if something like this goes down, it won't be until draft night.

I'm actually hoping they don't trade the pick, and pick the guy who is going to turn out to be the best player in this draft. I have no idea who it will be, but feel that it won't necessarily be Simmons or Ingram.  Am leaning toward Bender or Brown, but acknowledge I am basing Bender on his project ability rather than his record, which is a tricky business. Am hoping his agent really lets the Celtics work him out with other guys.  If Danny ends up taking Brown, I will feel quite good about that pick also.  I love his explosiveness to the basket. While doubtful he will be a great shooter, he just has to be good enough to keep guys honest and then take advantage of his elite athleticism and length.

Still hoping we ultimately trade the third pick for a star.

If not, I'm liking the Chriss kid. I'd settle for Murray, too, though I know he'd frustrate me to death with his James Young-esque type defense.

Not really big on Bender, and I really don't have any interest in Dunn. I think he's been way over-hyped during this draft process.

I'm just tired of talking about it and ready for the dang thing to be here already.

If Danny uses the pick, and presuming that Simmons and Ingram are off the board, I don't think I'll be excited about the selection, whoever it is. It's probable that all other players in this draft will take at least a couple of seasons to have any impact.

I think Dunn is the guy I prefer least; he has an interesting background, but he wouldn't release his medicals, which seems fishy to me. I'm also concerned that Jaylen Brown will be Josh Smith 2.0—which is to say, not someone you can build around.

Call me a homer, but I do think there's a legitimate chance Boston can sign Durant, and that he would be a great fit here.

I'm not keen on signing or trading for anyone 30 or over, but if signing Horford means we get Durant, I'm good with that.

I know that Kevin Love has his warts, but I think he'd fit pretty well, and be pretty happy, in Boston, so I'm not closing myself off to the idea of acquiring him.

If Philly or L.A. takes someone other than Simmons or Ingram, I think Danny should draft whichever of those isn't taken, in which case I'd be fine with either keeping that player and developing him, or flipping him for a top-tier established player.

I also am still open to acquiring Cousins.

I just want the draft to be over with so we can take stock and figure out what the priorities are likely to be headed into free agency.

Guess I'm hoping for the best of both worlds. I read a suggestion that the Celtics trade #3 to Wolves for #5 & Dieng. While I don't know that that could happen, I wouldn't mind them trading down within say top 7 and picking up a decent Player to go along with it. I must admit, I really enjoy watching rookies with potential play. I liked watching Rozier in the playoffs, for example,  and I think there is a chance anyone drafted top 7-8 could be a really good player.

I thought for dunn it was that he wouldn't release his medicals or workout for the celtics and suns specifically. That makes sense to me because he doesn't want to go to a situation where he can't win the starting job because of an incumbent or 3. Everything else about the kid screams competitor including dominating other players in workouts defensively.

So many ways it can go...I was all for Bender the past couple of weeks(if no trade).

But seeing this Chriss video kinda blew me away. I know everyone looks good in Strengths Highlights..But, wow, his athleticism and actual BB talent look pretty good for an 18 year old...I could imagine what he would be like as a senior in college (better than Hield I bet).

Let's just hope Danny can work out a trade, so he doesn't make a mistake drafting...cause this is gonna shape our team for a long time to come.

Murray shattering records.

Actually, he only bested the previous record by two:

http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/celtics/post/_/id/4723260/jamal-murray-at-celtics-workout-im-the-best-player-in-the-draft

Quote
Murray, a 6-foot-5 guard out of Kentucky, then calmly drained eight of his final 10 3-point attempts, finishing with 79 makes out of 100 and besting the Brad Stevens-era pre-draft record of 77, set earlier this spring by Gonzaga's Kyle Wiltjer.

I may have missed it, but I don't recall any fanfare about Wiltjer's workout when it happened.
