Sounds like the Truth is playing one more season, max.

Quote
Well, we always say it’s 51-49. I get 51 percent of the vote and the rest of [the family] gets 49,” Pierce said. “[My wife’s] input carried a lot of weight. We’ll figure out some things. I know I don’t want to be sitting at home, whatever I do, regardless. If I come back, it will be one more [season] and that will be it. No doubt

I'd love to see Danny find a way to trade for him.  Doc does owe us from when we got him his son.

Honestly, I think it would be a great basketball fit too.  We could use a backup 3, and Paul can still hit some three's for a competitive team down the stretch.

In one way, it would be cool to see Pierce back in Green, but I'm not sure I could stomach watching him, as a Celtic, in such a diminished form, especially after being such a great Celtic most of his career.

I notice that Hunter and Young would match Pierce's salary in a Draft Night trade.

But I think the Clips would need to add more value. They have #25 and #33. Perhaps BOS also sends out a later 2nd for either of those picks?

I'm sure I could stomach it.

The Truth still has alot of game left.  Doc cut back his minutes so that he'd be ready for the playoffs.  But Pierce needed to play more minutes in order to be effective.  I watched a number of Clipper Games when CP3 would have an open Pierce on the wing, and ignore him only to hoist his own shot.  I'd love to see him back to Boston in his final year!

Sullinger plus a 2nd for Pierce!

We have cap space and its only 3 million, a salary dump to Boston is the only thing I'd consider. Not giving up any asset, how minor it may be.

Well, then the deal can't happen until the summer (why I used the qualifier above). It would also add a guy to a fairly crowded roster.

Personally, I don't consider Young or Hunter significantly valuable assets, and if the deal could move a 2nd rounder into the late 1st, I think that's a decent gain. But I understand your POV.

I'm one hundred percent on board. Ten minutes a game. Assistant coach on the floor. Farewell tour.

Give us something to feel good about when the Celts are grinding toward another first round exit.

Yeah. I mean, it's the same guy hitting clutch shots for Washington in 2015. I seriously doubt he's dropped off that much.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about
