I love Lebron and hate Golden State. What a glorious night for me. I don't want to hear another word about Steph Curry being the greatest anything. Just hoist up 3 after 3...I wonder will the media dare to bring the heat on Curry like they do with James.

I just wish Lebron's teammates would stop winning him championships - Ray Allen and now Kyrie. It's not that Lebron doesn't play extremely well throughout each series, he just disappears when it counts most and his teammates have to bail him out.

We could easily be talking about a 1-6 record for Lebron if he were taking those shots.

And, yes, I am a total hater.   :P

Yeah, a triple double in Game 7, with 11 points in the 4th, isn't disappearing.  By that standard, Jordan disappeared because Paxson and Kerr hit series defining shots.

Now, Steph Curry, that's disappearing.

We can point to the fact that Curry was injured.  He clearly wasn't the same guy in these playoffs, except for the occasional outburst, since his knee injury.

At the same time, being able to dominate despite injuries is part of being a great playoff performer.  LeBron and Kyrie were great in this series.  Nobody on the Warriors was great except for Draymond, and he let his team down by getting suspended for Game 5, which probably cost them a title.

Yeah and Shaq, Timmy and Kobe got bailed by Robert Horry.

Basically an entire generation of NBA champions got bailed out by big shot Bob.

Lebron's block was almost as big as kyrie's 3 pointer.   Iconic play from a living legend.

Yes. He kept that one in play too.

Curry stinks on defense.  Your ability to impact the game lessened if that's the case.

Kyrie is pretty weak too but he did impress me with effort in the Finals scrapping for steals.

LeBron was amazing.  I am not surprised.  If he had more help last year, as previously mentioned by LarBrd33, he could be doing a back to back here.

So the Cavs won't trade love now?
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Well, as they always say: defense wins championships.

I think they have to trade him either way. He's way too overpaid and overqualified for how they use him. They will trade him for someone like Avery Bradley who can actually help them on defense and spread the floor, and another big who can shoot.

LeBron James passed Larry Bird tonight.  Bumped him out of the top 5.

Next he'll pass Russell, Kareem, and Magic, and only Jordan will be left.

There is no question you didn't watch Larry in his prime for making this statement. Lebron will have the numbers over Bird because Lebron came into the league at 18 when Bird came in at 23. Also Bird missed a whole season and was never the same after 88 retiring early with the last 2 years barely hanging on with a bad back. But people like you will who never watched Larry from 84-87 will look at numbers and make stupid statements like this. Larry Bird had no weakness in his game in that time period. He was a better rebounder, scorer, and passer than James. Larry was also the alpha male in the clutch moments. Want to know a big difference about Larry over Lebron?? Larry would have been the one hitting the 3 that Irving hit tonight. Larry was the one who took over not one of his teammates. You my friend are a disgrace of this Celtics board.

He won't get a pass for this showing. He got bullied the last two series.

I heard someone is writing an alternate history novel about how in the mid 80s Larry Bird, Magic, and Isaiah Thomas teamed up and all went to Miami together and won two whole titles. After that they were referred to as "greatest ever" and "basketball gods."

Yes. They teamed up on the Lakers. Then Bird went to the Pacers and won a title in his hometown, Magic went to Detroit and won one for his hometown, and Isaiah went to Hell and won one for his dad.
That was the moment they all passed Bill Russell. In the hallway.

And the glare from Russell's 11 championship rings blinded all of them.
Nine rings. Nine were gifted by Sauron to the race of men. But Bill Russell took them all and demanded two more, so that they had to take two from the elves and give them to Bill Russell. And none of them were deceived for in the heart of Mount Doom Sauron made one ring to rule them all...and then looked at it and said "Ohhhh maaannnn! I'll never have as many rings as Bill Russell! Never! Never!" So he gave up trying and dropped the ring back into the fires from whence it came.

Years later Frodo James decided to leave the shire and go to Miami where he got....two. Then he went back to the Shire and got one whole more. Whoop.....de....dooo.

I want to congratulate the Warriors ahead of time for usurping the 2007 New England Patriots for biggest choke artists in sports history.

Yup. Called it.

I'm sorry, but did you watch the game?  Curry doesn't stink on defense.  He's not Avery Bradley, but he was able to stay in front of LeBron on switches reasonably well, despite the huge mismatch in size and strength.  He's agressive at trying to poke away steals, and led the league in them.  Will he be all defense ever?  No.  Does he stink? Not even close.

Those were two of the biggest plays I've ever seen.  History written before our eyes.
