Boston's best player is a PG. Boston's second best player is a SG. Boston's third best player is a SF. Boston's best prospect is a combo guard.
So you have to go with the raw big man i.e. Bender.
We go with Bender we r screwed. It amazes me that people want to take backward steps. We can clearly upgrade the team instantly with two moves.
#1 buy drafting Buddy Heild
#2 buy trading Smart
Its not rocket science guys. Bender is a miss, he's not even worth a top 6 pick. Lol
Taking the player with the highest upside at a position of not is need a step backwards. It is a step towards a title team. In fact, Bender is the only player that will be there at 3 that has that sort of potential. Maybe he flames out, but you have to take that risk, because the reward is worth it.
Hield is a role player. He won't be able to create his own shot in the NBA so he won't be anywhere near as effective as a shooter. He is also about close to a finished product, which sure means he might yield an extra win or two for the next year, but he isn't pushing Boston over the top at any point in time ever.
Hield is the absolute worst person for Boston to take if it wants to win a title with the drafted player as a key component.
Bender
Murray
Brown
Poeltl
Dunn
That should be the order. Brown and Poeltl will be there later, so trading back might make the most sense if you can find a willing trading partner.
