Would you trade up to get the 1 or 2? I would have to think about trading Smart, Bradley, and the #3 (or worse) and another year's first to get Simmons or Ingram. Seems like a fair trade to me, considering how both Smart and Bradley have improved. Going forward they are both starters on ok teams and at a minimum very good bench players for a championship team.

We have a ton of picks to sweeten the deal, and both the Lakers/Sixers are lacking NBA talent. While I think both Simmons and Ingram will be good players, I'm not certain that they will be all-NBA (ie untradeable). I think the poor man's Lebron/KD tags fit for these guys, so they certainly aren't the best prospects in years (I think Wiggins was a better prospect than both), but they could help the Celtics consolidate their roster with talent upgrades. Note- If I thought they would be better players, there's no way I would think that the first two teams trade out of their spot....
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

I disagree that Bradley is a starter for an okay team and bench player for an championship team. I think Cleveland, OKC, SA, etc would love to have a guy like Bradley in their lineup. I think Smart can get to that point too if his jumper comes around.

Having said that, I would certainly considering putting together a package to jump up to No. 1 or No. 2. I'm not sure I'd throw in Bradley or Smart, but I'd definitely add picks to the package.

Nah if we get #3 draft Heild then trade #23 with #16 along with a 2nd or two to move up to #9 or #10 to draft Scal. Don't give up future assets that might be lottery bound.

Buddy Heild and Scal Labissiere would be a success in my eyes

+1
I'd also accept drafting Lab 5 and trading up for Korkmaz via 16 + 31.

Yikes on Bradley, Smart, #3, and future picks for one of two guys who even you aren't sure of. I understand the concept of consolidation and am all for it, but would rather use multiple picks to move up rather than two of our (current) core pieces.

No thank you. I'd consider any one of our future non-Brooklyn picks and/or a non-Smart guy drafted in the last few years.

Get Murray at 3 and keep the pick. He's gonna be a fine player in the NBA.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Jaylen Brown at 3.  I really like his upside. Reminds me of Winslow, only more powerful to the hole. I think Danny is drooling to take him if he doesn't swing at major trade with the pick.

Whatever happens grab Sabonis and whoever Danny thinks fits best

Again he is big on smaller guards (it's like a hobby of his or something) and he is eyeing Baldwin and key Felder (from what I have read)

Why is Bender a lock for the number 3 pick on almost all draft boards (at least a week ago). Yet, no one wants him on CB?

Because we've seen about 17 minutes of him on YouTube and aren't overly impressed. I'm assuming that the guys who are paid to do this have more insight than I do and see something I don't.

I have been scouring the interwebs all day, trying to figure why everyone is so high on this kid. He's young. Check. He's tall. Check. He has some semblance of a jumper. Check. But is it translating? He's playing pro ball (albeit in a slightly softer league), but he is not managing to put up respectable numbers. Porzingis last season in Europe he was averaging 11 and 5 (at 19). Bender is averaging 1.5 and 1.2 (at 18). I was looking at the '03 draft today... this kid looks like he's more Milicic than Bosh.

I could see Danny taking Bender with #3 or consolidating picks by trading to move up and take Bender at #3.  Heck, I could see him moving up to #2 and taking Bender.

A lot of people on this board would completely lose their minds if this happened
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

That only makes me want to see it even more in a way that is borderline sexually exciting.
