If Bender cannot compete in Europe right now, it seems to me he's clearly too raw to be a contributor in the NBA in his rookie season, or perhaps even his first 1-3 seasons. Plus, his last name reminds me of Jonathan Bender, the Pacers' top five pick who was a bust years ago (HA!)
If we do not get one of the top two picks, and cannot find a way to move our pick in a deal involving an all-star, I would prefer to see us drop down to 8 or 9 in exchange for an unprotected future first-round pick. If Pöltl is available, pick him, trade a bunch of our remaining 2016 picks in order to move up to the next pick and choose Sabonis. If Pöltl is not available at 8 or 9, pick Sabonis and then find a way to move some of our remaining 2016 picks for an NBA contributor. Either way would be a pretty good draft night for me...
