So Shaq and Ernie were out tonight, Dwight was filling in for Shaq. Basically **** got real very quickly into the show, with Chuck throwing some shade at Dwight and his attitude and stuff.

Here's some highlights, I might update this if I find a full version

He seems very honest and truly wants to win. I'm not gonna spoil what he says, it's also somewhat open to interpretation.  Does this change your views on him at all? And whether you would still avoid signing him?
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

My only concern with Dwight is his injury history, and unfortunately, an interview can't fix that. I do want Danny to at least give him a call and see if he's adamant about getting the max, though.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Lol this is all about his agent putting him out there and saying the right things and what ppl want to hear bc he is going to be a free agent and will not be going to Houston. He was talking the talk but I've yet to see him walk the walk. Actions speak louder than words IMO.

Yeah but it's tough playing with Kobe and harden and being used as a sidekick (a rather unvalued one too, might I add) to their chucker mentalities. Remember, he helped lead an Orlando team to the finals.

I have no issue with Dwight's attitude. He is not a leader but that is okay.

I do have concerns with his health long term and his declining impact.

Yeah both those things would be a problem, I just wanted to bring this up since in the "sign Howard" thread there was some bashing about him that I felt was somewhat unwarranted.

Yeah, I think Dwight gets a bad rap. He is coachable. A solid teammate. Good work-ethic. Plays hard on defense. Rebounds well. Just wants to feel involved on offense like just as about every other talented center who has ever played.

THIS

Howard has always said the right things in the media but once the going gets tough behind the scenes he's not to be trusted.

I'm not really against him on the team. My concern is how much will he cost.

He was a star that is now struggling not being the main star. Kind of reminds me of when Ray Allen took his ball to south beach. I can see Howard choosing a team that wants him to be the man.

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.

Portland would be perfect for him. IMO

I was kind of shocked at how hard they were digging into Dwight last night and TP for bringing it up. They just wouldn't stop going after him and I thought he responded fairly well. Despite it all being Mr. Nice Guy say what my agent wants me to say type talk, he handled himself pretty well being bombarded with tough question after tough question.

EXACTLY!

He said FA has not crossed his mind.  Bull &%E
He also admitted that he took himself out of the game....
He said Harden and Himself have to put Egos aside....  So he is admitting he is not a team player.
He discounted all the other players.

I'd still sign him.   He is still a game changer.   But he needs to find the love for the game and play to win.
