But how much of the Lakers fiasco is on Howard and how much is it on Kobe and the Laker organization?

He takes a lot of the blame but what has that team done since he left?

There's plenty of blame to go around.  I'd be more willing to forgive the LA circus if it wasn't wedged in between the Orlando circus and the Houston circus.

Orlando circus and Houston circus?  Orlando made the NBA finals and the Rockets made the Western conference finals LAST YEAR.  They lost to the eventual NBA champion Golden State Warriors.

Bring that circus to town!

And, subsequent to those runs, Dwight was involved in a 2 year circus in Orlando that involved him undercutting one of the better coaches in the NBA, followed by a year-long circus in Houston where he pouted, was disinterested, and was isolated from his teammates.

Is this just your opinion of can you provide evidence that he pouted, was disinterested, and was isolated from teammates?  I haven't heard anyone but Charles Barkley claim he was disinterested to which Dwight replied he had taken himself out of games and situations when he was frustrated.  I can only remember Dwight taking himself out of a game once, in LA, when he had a torn labrum in his shoulder.

Also, do you realize that Houston took almost 31 threes per game this year?  They were second in the NBA in three point attempts (to only Golden State) yet ranked 22nd in the league in 3 point field goal percentage.  Was Houston's problem this year a Dwight Howard problem or were they just a poor shooting team that wouldn't stop jacking up threes and refused to adjust?

I mean, besides his own words?

When asked if he was disinterested he said,

Quote
“There have been times where I’ve been upset and I’ve taken myself out of games and situations and that’s on me.”

He's not saying he literally substituted out of games. He means he tuned out and didn't participate. He then goes on to pout about not getting the ball.

I think Dwight is a good guy and I think he'd do well on this team. I always felt like the Rockets were a disaster this year and as a basketball fan, i HATED watching that team. So I completely understand if D12 felt disinterested because that entire team played with zero heart.

He's not a leader, he's a follower. He seems like a guy who would be highly influenced by the environment around him. That Rockets team had a "quitter" vibe about them and you rarely saw anyone play hard. But if he's on this team with leaders like IT4 and Crowder, I think it'll bring out the better side of him.
