I just want to throw this out there. We absolutely 100% need to resign ET. His production is fantastic, he's loved by his teammates and demonstrates incredible heart out there. Seriously just look at his body language this series. Every play and every call seems to mean the world to him. The fight and hustle that he has put out there really just shows how much he belongs on this team. I love this guy and let's pay the man.

Yup.

Let Sully walk and route some of that cash to Turner.

He also shows a complete willingness to play his role as a 6th man. Every team needs that guy who can come in and bust up a bunch of bench scrubs. Turner is that guy for us, and he seems happy to do so. I'm on board with us keeping him around at his current role. He's also pretty versatile on defense, making him a good fit for us.

His production is still well below average for the amount of minutes and role he has.

A very useful player in filling holes in our rotation given his flexibility both offensively and defensively. But he doesn't really do anything well

I will be immensely disappointed if we give him a big FA deal.

He's been an underrated piece of our success this year.  Whether he comes back depends on what he wants and how the offseason shakes down, but I'd personally love to see him stay in Boston.

Yeah, I don't think he will get a big deal. With how he flamed out in Indiana, and wore out his welcome in Indiana, he will realize this is the best place for him and end up giving up money to play here.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

My take on ET is that he plays a valuable, bordering on essential, role for the team, but he plays it in a flawed enough way that you wish you had someone better playing that role.  It's led to him being both (mostly) underrated and (occasionally) overrated by different groups of posters here.

When he's cooking he's definitely something to watch, though.

This FA cycle is going to be inflated though, given how much Bazemore is going to get I think Turner gets paid too.

to be honest, i think the celtics will change their roster significantly in the next 2-3 years, and the role that turner currently fills will no longer be there. others will fill in for ball handling, creating shots, etc.

i love what he has done for the celtics, but at the exact same time he drives me crazy. watching him play is hell. i never know which turner is about to show up on a possession. will it be "watch me slither by 3 guys and score" turner? or, "watch me dribble into 3 players and lose the ball" turner? will he facilitate the offense or screw the pooch once more? who the hell knows? even he doesnt seem to know.

turner gives and then he promptly takes away, following by maybe giving again or taking away again, and so on. that is who he is. i want the celtics to have more consistency than he can provide.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Really like him and his game, about 90% of the time. Than there are times when his turnovers and bad passes just make me crazy. He had a number late in the 4th quarter last night that could have cost them the game. If he could just cut out some of those airhead plays, he'd be great.

He's been terrific but I'd be much happier if the team used its assetts to bring in more talent that makes Turner expendable.

dude is playing with heart out there...I remember in game 2. nobody showed up and turner was just out there fighting that was when i was like wow. This guy really wants to win. He is a winner forget the fact he can be replaced you can't replace winners, he is the reason why this team is where they are now. dude has heart.
