What an amazing defensive effort tonight on Milsap.

Smart just put a memo out there to DPOY voters next year.

Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Agreed. It was a virtuoso defensive performance that can never be taken from him

Absolutely stunning that he shut down an All Star PF that was on fire.

And that's why Smart is actually the best defender on the team.  He was unreal on Korver and Millsap.  Crazy he can cover both.

Loved his offense.  Really excited.  This is the All-Star player I have always hoped he can be.

I was so worried that we would lose this game and Smarts performance would be lost in history. Instead, Milsaps 45 points will be lost in history. And I love every second of it. Lets GOOOO!!!

a large part of that was because he wasnt getting into his favorite spots and positions. smart just denied him the ball and position. then his last shots he had to run and was moving sideways quite a bit when he shot. hard for even him to make those.

credit the defense tonight.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Smart helped make sure Korver didn't do much when he was on him.  And I believe he's only 2" shorter than Millsap.

Does anyone know the general trade value on a DPOY?

To borrow a turn of phrase from former basketball writer Bill Simmons-

"Marcus really pulled out his genitals tonight."

Smart did everything tonight .

His shortness is probably his biggest strenght.  Players try to post him up because of his height, which just plays into his strengths.

I have to wonder if it will work in another game, or if Millsap will wise up
I'm bitter.
