He is so tough, so clutch, so fearless.

I know he struggles shooting but I feel good when he is on the floor in crunch time.

He just makes things happen.

I feel like now he's a bull in a china shop. But when he harnesses all the gifts he has...watch out!

I really liked how Marcus played tonight. Intense. Fierce. Hustler.

There were times where I cringed when IT took a pull up 3 off the one dribble, even with no rebounders anywhere near the boards, and Smart was close enough to grab the ball after running full sprint. I think what also will make Marcus an amazing rebounder for his position, is Rondo or Sully's knack of detecting where the ball will land.

Marcus is an intelligent player, but unfortunately has a terrible shot selection. Who knows how good he could be, if he was able to secure more balls, get fouled more, and finish inside? He made some nifty plays that only savvy veterans seem to make in crunch time.

I 'd like him more if he could shoot more like he did tonight.  I love his game but his offense was good tonight and I would like to see more.   If he gets that he will be a complete player.

Marcus is starting to come into his own. This postseason is big for him but I'm not expecting a performance like tonight's from him throughout this series. As much as I love and notice Marcus's hustle, it's the plays when he isn't hustling that stand out to me the most. The last few games of the regular season and tonight's lost, I've noticed Marcus ball watching and not going for the ball especially on 50/50 balls. Those are possession the C's can't let the Hawks get extra possession. It's not just Marcus who does this but when he does do it, he stands out more because I'm use to his hustle. Hopefully the team as a whole cleans that up.

I was furious about that foul. But I'll give him a pass: he did plenty of good things. Without some of his huge plays, we would not have been in that game.

marcus and turner are the only players worth keeping on this team, only ones that raise their game come playoff time. everyone else needs to be shown the door.

Marcus Smart makes winning plays that don't always show up on the box score (or are understated on the box score). I can't wait until the development of his skills catch up and his winning plays begin to translate on the box score.

As a sidenote, Teague began shredding the C's after Bradley went down. Was I the only one who wanted to see Smart on Teague, and have ET cover Korver instead?

I was all over that in the game thread.  What's worse is that a lot of the time went avery went down was smart on sefalosha and turner on teague.  That just seems unacceptable to me.

I think Marcus's shooting issues are psychological. It seems like when the game matters most, he makes the shot. Makes me think that when the game is on the line his shooting comes from muscle memory, and is not being inhibited by outside factors, be it cognitive or bursts of neuro-adrenaline.

Smart clinched the loss with the horrible foul. Great hustle but I'm really surprised people think he's such an intelligent player.
