Should make us look askance at our group too.  The team that beat us in six looks completely outmatched against the Cavs.

We're not particularly close to the Cavs.  Are any but the most optimistic of us surprised by that, though?

We're relatively close to second best in the East, but we're a long way from being a true contender.

There was plenty of talk if the Celts getting to the East Finals and/or giving the Cavs a good series.

By now it's clear that was never really in the cards. I hope people don't use the injuries as a total excuse.

I just think it's good to have a clear sense of how much worse remains to be done on this roster.

I think we would've pushed the series to 6, but I don't think anyone really thought we'd win. And we have a lot of holes that were shown in the playoffs, but injuries were undeniably a major part of our early exit. It's no coincidence that we started our end-of-season funk when Jae went down with his injury.

Injuries were a factor, no doubt.

I'm just bracing for the "This group can make some noise in the playoffs if healthy!!!" that will be the rallying cry if Ainge fails to make any major moves in June or July.

I think that's nonsense.

I would say most of our players have hit their ceiling or are close to it. Even Smart. He might improve a little to be a 14 point scorer but he's probably close to maxed out also.

So I agree. We won't improve much staying put.

And with every contested Westbrook three, every bonehead Kanter moment, and every Dion Waiters Dion Waiters, Durant's jersey imperceptibly morphs towards The Green.

Its a tough league right now were Durant and Westbrook need better shooters around them to beat the best three teams and it's not like the guys around them are scrubs. It's a can you keep up with the Spurs or Warriors shooters league now. Does your team have enough. OKC with two of the best shooters doesn't seem like enough. Kind of crazy.

I guess that depends on what you mean by "noise." If we would've been healthy and got the three seed, I really think we would've been in the Eastern Conference Finals against Cleveland. If that's making some noise, then I'd definitely agree. I can't really imagine a non-injury situation where this year's team would've beat Cleveland four out of seven games, though.

It'll be extremely disappointing to bring back essentially the same team next year. I'd almost rather sell off our assets and build around our younger core and the Brooklyn picks if we don't make any substantial moves this offseason.

I've been incredibly impressed with Ibaka's shooting in the playoffs. If Durant leaves, I'd love to target him if they decide to tear it down, which they should.

I honestly can't stand David West anymore. It seems that every single time I've watched the Spurs play in the playoffs he either turns the ball over or misses shots. And there always seems to be a run for the other team when he's in.

He would be great for us. Spreads the floor, protects the rim. Great fit imo
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I'd imagine KD's not going to be too happy after this one :).

He needs to play off the ball on some occasions if he wants to play with Stevens.
