Is that the best play Donovan could draw up? A 30 ft heave from Westbrick? Brad woulda done something much better
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Although, to be fair, Brad wouldn't have even been in that situation. With Durant on board, we will win every game!!!!!!!

I'm kidding lol, but still. One can dream

OKC should get a REAL point guard to run this team...move Westbrook to shooting guard....would change the whole dynamic there---and would make them better...Hmmmm Rondo is a F.A.....Imagine him feeding Both Durant and Westbrook.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

They look great, but I think you have to consider the competition they faced so far. I think the Celtics would have given them a better fight than Atlanta.

I can't imagine he is too happy that Westbrook took 31 shots last night while he had 18 despite having the hotter hand.

Can we just take a moment to talk about the shameless referee worship that is happening on every broadcast in the playoffs.

Every game one of those league shills doing the commentary is talking about how lucky we are to have the best referees, identifying each by name and lauding how terrific they all are.

While it's quite apparent that all/most of these refs are complete garbage.

Outside of last night's Sox game, I think the NBA has the worst refs in the four major sports.

Outside of officiating the offensive/defensive line in football, basketball is probably the most difficult sport to officiate.  I think that explains part of why so many calls are missed.

The games have been physical and the refs have swallowed their whistles. They are doing a great job of staying out of the way as best they can. I can't remember a post season in the NBA that has been reffed this well.

But to the larger point, about referee worship, yeah that little bit between Mark Jackson and JVG was gross.

I mean, how much of it is part of the game, though? I complain a lot about ref incompetency, but I'm honestly not sure if it's a personnel thing or just because refs are so much more involved and influential in basketball than any other sport. At least with fouls, I think they just need to let them play a lot more, because then there's less issue with interpretation than you have now.

But I think it definitely has been corrupted, in a sense. Not throwing games corrupted, but choosing when, where, and who to call the whistle on - heavy star favoritism, major inconsistency among officiating units (even in single games), etc.
