Can we just take a moment to talk about the shameless referee worship that is happening on every broadcast in the playoffs.

Every game one of those league shills doing the commentary is talking about how lucky we are to have the best referees, identifying each by name and lauding how terrific they all are.

While it's quite apparent that all/most of these refs are complete garbage.

Outside of last night's Sox game, I think the NBA has the worst refs in the four major sports.

I mean, how much of it is part of the game, though? I complain a lot about ref incompetency, but I'm honestly not sure if it's a personnel thing or just because refs are so much more involved and influential in basketball than any other sport. At least with fouls, I think they just need to let them play a lot more, because then there's less issue with interpretation than you have now.

But I think it definitely has been corrupted, in a sense. Not throwing games corrupted, but choosing when, where, and who to call the whistle on - heavy star favoritism, major inconsistency among officiating units (even in single games), etc.
I agree and the play on mentality so far has been a good thing for the playoffs.

This Blazers game has been something else. 3 after 3 after 3. How about Green with 8 threes himself?

Not so tough are we now, ay Warriors?

Blazers gave 'em a stomping!

Felt like the Blazers had to win one that way.

Warriors are kind of just playing around right now. They know they can score at will on the Blazers, and they can go on a long run if they want to use their death lineup.

It's actually in their interest for this series to go a little long.  The Spurs will be playing the Thunder for at least six, most likely.

IMO GSW was beaten fair and square tonight. You could see their players were upset, esp. D Green.

Nothing more satisfying than seeing the Warriors lose and their fans cry. My Blazers-Raptors NBA Finals dream still looking sharp right now hahahaha

Screw the Raptors.

I had GS in 6 and Thunder in 7. Hopefully Curry is good to go by at least Game 5.

Boy, Love is blowing it for the Cavs down the stretch. I'm really hoping for the sweep to just increase the chances of Horford leaving!

I'm kinda happy Atlanta got swept. Is this normal?
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

They absolutely were.  Any time a team shoots 17-30 from 3, they should win.  I don't expect a second win this series, however.
