Man, the Cavs look really good. Frye was such an excellent pickup for them. Steph better be good to go soon, because they're going to need him in the Finals.

If the C's had guys that could shoot they would have done what the Cavs are currently doing. The Hawks defense was overrated. They dare you to hit shots and if you do they start to wilt.

Boy, boy, boy... Depending upon how the Raptors/Heat series goes, the Cavs might sweep their way to the Finals.

Right? They're about to get swept for the second year in a row by Cleveland, making it something like 12 straight losses to Cleveland. If he's wanting to win, then you have to think he's gone. That's enough proof that beating Cleveland is beyond their ceiling.

Forreals. The Joe Johnson-led Hawks also got swept by LeBron's Cavs one time too back in 2009. In fact, the Cavs had a similar run too between that year and this year. In 2009 and 2016 they swept Detroit, and they about to sweep the Hawks again hahaha.

Embarrassing for the Hawks.  This is a "back to the drawing board" series loss for them. Totally blown away.

Should make us look askance at our group too.  The team that beat us in six looks completely outmatched against the Cavs.

We're not particularly close to the Cavs.  Are any but the most optimistic of us surprised by that, though?

We're relatively close to second best in the East, but we're a long way from being a true contender.

There was plenty of talk if the Celts getting to the East Finals and/or giving the Cavs a good series.

By now it's clear that was never really in the cards. I hope people don't use the injuries as a total excuse.

I just think it's good to have a clear sense of how much worse remains to be done on this roster.

It's not transitive like that, though, plus we were riddled with injuries this year. I have no doubt that we would've taken that series if Bradley didn't get hurt and Jae wasn't playing on one leg. Match ups are also important; we actually matchup much better against Cleveland than Atlanta.

The Hawks are like the Clippers east- make playoffs, get bounced in round 1 or 2 every year. Oh so you made it to East Finals? Get swept, son!

I think we would've pushed the series to 6, but I don't think anyone really thought we'd win. And we have a lot of holes that were shown in the playoffs, but injuries were undeniably a major part of our early exit. It's no coincidence that we started our end-of-season funk when Jae went down with his injury.
