guys this is who we've been all yr. if our shots don't fall we don't play D. so if you're hoping the D improves you might want to pray for some of those horrible jump shots to fall.

IT is really a 6th man folks.  He played out of his mind this season. But now in the playoffs you can separate the starter vs bench player types

If you zero in the bench player types, you can make it real hard for them.   Can't go right, streaky shooter, turnover prone,  can't create their own shots,  size disadvantage etc

You can do your homework all you want on a starter type.   It can't stop them.

Sadly as we can see we don't have 1 starting type player on the court. Maybe except AB who is an elite defender

We really need to nail this offseason and obtain 2 starter type players somehow someway

IT is showing me he's a guy that cannot be counted on the playoffs.
Overreact much?

We got some people here who just have an anti-Isaiah agenda.

I have no beef against him. It's not all his fault considering he's the only guy that can create his own shot.

Didn't exactly mean you. More referring to jpotter

No, I just don't give him a pass like everyone else here does. I'm still a fan of IT,  but it's undeniable that he's A) not a true number one option, B) he has highly questionable decision-making, and C) he can be shut down pretty easily with us. But everyone wants to just give him a pass because he's our "All Star." Well, sorry, he gets just as much if not more blame than others from me if he's truly the leader of our team.

C's need to come out with that intensity they showed the 2nd half against Miami. Try to get some turnovers and cut the lead down under 10.

you know that game was a joke right?? Miami loss on purpose

You don't win 48 games with all bench players.

it'd be nice if we started picking them at 3/4 court. that usually helps this team.

Be careful, that's sacrilege around here.  ;)

I don't believe that at all. Miami just stopped playing when the C's finally turned it up. Doesn't mean the Hawks are going to miss shots but this team's identify is intensity on defense.

IT is neutralized.    He has nothing

ATL is making him go right which is not so good at.  He can't get his shooting going if he doesn't get the feel of the ball going through, at the FT line

smart
It's a lot easier to focus your defense on IT when no one else can make a shot.  I wouldn't draw too many conclusions based on one half - granted an awful half.
exactly. Good to see someone gets it.
A star supposed to lift those around him, not the other way around.

No, they didn't. It made no sense for them to, because at the half Atlanta was winning, meaning they'd need to win to get third.

No one can shoot... Makes it easy to focus in on IT... It's that simple.

Nobody can be the only guy who makes shots on a team, unless you're maybe Curry and Lebron... Our teams offense sucks plain and simple, it doesn't make IT a scrub or 6th man

First priority when you get down big like this is focus on defense then try to build off that.

celtics played out of their mind.  We also two strong bench player units.   Tahts how we did it

Most teams have good starters to rely on.  And at least one or two have to be on the court at all times

celtics on the other hand have 10-11 solid bench players

I'm telling you, we don't have one bonafide starter.  Even IT is a top 6th man. Look at what is going on tonight.  Take away his left hand. Clog the lane. He has done nothing.

I was actually about to suggest starting ET instead of a big (in place of Sully) but Brad already did that.  Started ET over Amir.
