Looking to see how sane, or insane, everyone is, if indeed we do get lucky with the first pick.
This is assuming a trade is not made with the pick, who do you want on the Celtics for the next ten years.

If your insane enough write in your pick if he wasn't listed.

Voted Simmons but was very tempted to pick Ingram.

The whole idea that we have to get an immediate impact player kind of goes out the window when talking about a prospect of simmons quality. He already had nba level rebounding ability, great athleticism for the 4, ball handling like we haven't seen in a generation at the 4 (lebron is a 3 in this scenario), and the best court vision and playmaking abilities we've ever seen out of a 6'10 player at his age (Magic was 6'9, so really splitting hairs on this one lol.)

You don't pass that up to get a 26-27 year old butler, or a skinny kid who can shoot well. Ingram could be a perennial all star, but if he develops a shot, simmons could be a transcendent level of prospect.

Stick him at the 3/4 and move smart to the bench until he learns to space the floor better. Simmons and all of our shooters plus free agents would be a beautiful celtic vision to behold. Also if anyone can teach him to shoot it's stevens.

Voted for Simmons as well. And for the record, I wouldn't trade the pick if we got 1-2 overall. It's an outside chance but I hope this time, the odds shine on Brooklyn.

Voted Ingram, but it's close. He and Simmons are both awesome prospects. Ingram has fewer weaknesses and nearly as much upside.

Who in the world voted Bender? Like, how?
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I admit I haven't watched him a ton, but from what I HAVE watched he just seems so lacking in talent, he seems soft, he has no moves. At least porzingis was somewhat adept in the post and stuff. I see literally nothing like that with Bender. If porzingis was never a thing, bender would not be a lottery prospect.

i did... He is not rubbish but he is not a top3 pick either. very high risk imho. His euroleague stat line is same as Charalambopoulos`and nobody considers him a lottery pick (of course Bender is much physically gifted)

Only Four more votes for Simmons so far. Come on Celtic fans, I love Ingram, but I just couldn't pass on Ben, he could be the next big thing, and probably will be.

How about Simmons and Durant. Wow, would that be something.

 Kelly
 Simmons
 Durant
 Bradley
 Thomas

With Crowder and Smart off the bench. Can you say Championships!

If by some miracle we do snag KD, it is going to be horrible telling Crowder that he will have a reduced role. Maybe have to trade him along with IT for Jimmy Butler.

Then again there is this:

Last time we broke bread and talked over dinner, he wanted to work out with me and vice versa because I know he’s going to push me to a limit, and we just want to make each other better,” Crowder said. “We want to start working out together in the summer time. We talk a lot and we go out to dinner when we play one another. That’s one of my best friends in the NBA. That’s my brother.”

“It’s a blue-collar mentality,” Crowder said of Marquette. “Me and Jimmy, we played in the Big East when it was really tough. It helped mold us and grew us to become everyday-type players. That’s the way our coach coached us when we were at Marquette. You don’t play unless you play hard and unless you play with a certain type of swag.”

“I think you always have a bond when you go to the same school and go to war with a guy like Jae under Buzz [Williams],” Butler told the NBPA. “He went to Juco just like I went to the Juco, so that just shows even more how much we have in common—overlooked in the draft, made our mark in this league and we’re here to stay. More than a basketball player, he’s an incredible human being, a great father and somebody that these kids can look up to because he’s the definition of what hard work and dedication can get you in this life.”

Pretty much agree with all of that.

I went with Simmons because he is able to create quality looks off the dribble and would thrive in our uptempo system. Other than Thomas and Turner the C's really struggle to create quality shots off the dribble, Simmons would help with that.

That being said I really like Ingram and am torn between the two. Ingram's shooting could really help us, and his length long term allows him to fit into the switching defense we prefer.

I'm trying to avoid entertaining the possibility that we get Ingram or Simmons since doing so would probably leave me disappointed.
