I like the risk of taking Thon in the 16-23 range more than gambling our top 4 pick on  Bender.

At 4, we are probably going to go with a scorer like Hield or Brown.

Yep. I would much rather take a risk on Thon later in the draft than take just an even bigger risk with the nets pick.

I want the Cs to draft Thon badly. There is no way he will get out out of the lottery, especially once workouts start. People want to draft bender after seeing only a couple of weak highlight films just because "experts" have him pegged at number 3. I hope Thon is draft eligible. This kid is the next KG and I wouldnt be surprised it he didnt make it past the Timberwolves.

Despite all the potential, Thon would still be a huge gamble. I am amazed that people think this draft is so weak that he could end up drafted early in the first round if eligible. I would love to see him succeed in the NBA and think it is a great story, but emotion and feel good stories don't equate to basketball IQ and playing at the highest level. Late first round as a project.

Draft Express currently has him ranked 41 on their Top 100 Prospects. If he lasts until 35, I support this.

Givony had some really negative things to say about Maker (they were stuff scouts told him that he repeated). The positive things he had to say about his character, work ethic and motor made me very interested in him.

I'd consider him at 16/17 if the other guys I like are gone, and I'd absolutely jump at the chance to draft him with our pick, the Sixers or t Wolves.
