Great win - but the loss to POR the night before was a good example what celts weakness in crunch time can be. They let that one slip away

Played well vs GST and found a way to finish. Also had some help.

Tough for any team to win with 22 turnovers - and get outscored @ FT line by that margin

I don't love the comparison but this team is presently maybe closest to those recent Pistons champs.

I was thinking this team reminds me of the Pistons with........Isaiah Thomas.

it warmed my heart for IT4 to call Bradley and Smart both 1st Team All Defense. I realize he's biased because those are his teammates, but boy, wouldn't that be awesome if by next year or something, both guards do become 1st Team All Defense? Avery already has a good chance this year, TBH.

This team though, to really compete in the playoffs, still needs that 'star'. I know it's quite unlikely to happen but I think having Durant would make us the best team in the East.

C's had a short mental lapse--and let Portland take the momentum---It was too easy for most of the game.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Yup, screw Turner, I love the IT/AB/Smart/Crowder lineup.  Forces tons of turnovers.

Turner's an amazing 6th man type player, but that's the lineup I want down the stretch.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

wow! one win and Celtics fans lose their mind.

Exactly! I like Crowder but he is not an all-star level.

Danny gets points for understanding that in the perimeter-oriented modern NBA, having terrific perimeter defenders is the next best thing to having terrific perimeter scorers.

We are in such an advantageous position right now because if and when the opportunity to get a great scorer comes along, it doesn't matter whether it's at the 1, 2 or 3 position. We can slot that guy in, and still have great defenders and an excellent-defending backup at all three positions.

Yeah. It was just one win. No biggie. Just another day.

as great as the backcourt played or has played against GS. they're equally as bad against Tor. and Cleveland.

i'd rather temper my enthusiasm and not go through what you're going to go through when we lose to the Raptors or Cavs..

OMG, you mean our back-court isn't going outplay the top teams' back-courts every time?

If that's what you were expecting, then yeah you probably should temper some enthusiasm.

The simple fact that we CAN and HAVE beaten the best team/back-court in the league (and took them to 2OT) is worthy of our enthusiasm though.

There's plenty of times where our back-court has looked dominant, so it doesn't really make sense to just cherry-pick their off games and losses (can't win them all.....).
