Huge loss by Charlotte today, the 4 is ours to lose at this stage

Btw, where will we be seeded in case we tie Miami and Charlotte at the end of the regular season?
I think Miami gets the 4 seed if it's a 3 way tie by virtue of winning their division. But we have the tie breaker over both the Heat and hornets, so if we tie with one we get the 4.

No, we win, because the Hawks are the division winners with in that division that includes Atlanta, Miami, and Charlotte. This, it goes to head-to-head winning percentage among three teams, which we obviously since we're undefeated.

Thanks.

We're tied with Miami, a game ahead of Charlotte and a game behind Atlanta and everyone's got 2 games left to play. I keep trying to get my head wrapped around the most likely scenario but this tight anything could happen.

As long as they beat Charlotte tonight, the C's should be set for homecourt, I think, because they're 2-0 against Miami right now on the year.

EDIT: No, that's wrong because if Miami wins their last 2 the Celtics will wind up a game behind them and not have homecourt. So it's looking most likely that they'll play Miami either home or on the road. Gah...

I'm convinced that if we had lost just one more game during the regular season, we would be talking about the Eastern Conference Finals soon. Such crappy luck.

Or, you know, if we hadn't lost to the nets twice...
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

That's an interesting idea. I do think the C's would've matched up better with Miami. It's so crazy, though, that we tied with Miami and had the tie-breaker with them but because of everything else they wound up with the higher seed. Such a weird year.

But at least losing to the Nets guaranteed us a top 3 pick!

Beating the Nets those two games would have guaranteed us the 3 seed and could only have made Brooklyn record worse, not better.
