LOL @ the ones who want to trade him over ball hogging. Guess you forget what this team looked like before he showed up. They were 20-32 with one of the worst offenses in basketball. He comes and they play at a near 50 win pace since.
It can definitely be frustrating when it doesn't work, but you gotta consider the situation that Isaiah is in. This team has remarkably little offensive talent. Our #2 scorer in Bradley can barely dribble or pass a basketball. Our #2 shot creater in Evan Turner is extremely inefficient, even this year when he's getting hyped for his play, he's got a quite poor .509 TS%. It's pretty incredible that we have an offense ranked around the top 10 with so little offensive talent, and that's a huge credit to Isaiah and his so called ball hogging ways.
When we get more talent, I'm sure he'll be a little more willing to defer (though he's always going to be a score first PG, which isn't a bad thing). But right now he's far and away our top scorer and his aggressiveness does A LOT more good than it does harm, even if you are going to have some nights where it backfires like last night.
BTW, for all his struggles last night, do you know when the team absolutely collapsed? As soon as Isaiah left the game late in the 3rd quarter right up until he came back in down 7 in the 4th quarter? Isaiah finished a +7 in the game. He's the only thing that keeps this team afloat offensively.
