No way Hield is Morrow. Hield has very good handles, very good quickness, can blow buy you, and will be able to with his outstanding jumpshot.

He's a complete offensive player. You draft Hield or Murray if they are BPA.

Maybe not Morrow exactly, but I think his basement is definitely along the lines of a spot up three point shooter off the bench. Hield's been a terrific scorer as a senior, but there's a reason very few draft outlets place him higher than top-7. He's not an elite athlete, and while he can handle the ball, he's not a guy who looks to penetrate. Definitely concerned about his ability to beat NBA defenders off the bounce.

Not an Elite athlete. He's a Very good athlete, I was very surprised how fast he was off the dribble first time seeing him.

He's much faster quicker than Reddick he's going to be very good IMO.

If I had to guess I'd think he'd be a good NBA player. I just can't justify taking him top-5

If Hield's best case is CJ McCollum, I'm OK with that.  McCollum is a good player.  Efficient 20 point per game scorer on a playoff team.

You take that at #3-5 in a relatively weak draft every time.  With a smile.

For sure. I'm a huge CJ fan -- I drafted and own him in the DKC -- but I'm worried more about Hield's floor as an Anthony Morrow for a pick in the 3-5 range.

I think his floor is more like Marcus Thornton.

We need Reliable shooting....not RJ Hunter shooting....Hield would be my choice.

But I really think Danny is gonna trade our pick(s) for Cousins on draft night---even if it's #1 or #2.....just means he won't have to sweeten the deal.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

if BPA is a guard, we've likely slipped to #5 because I think Bender and Brown would rate above those 3.  Personally, I'd trade the pick for a good vet.

if a trade isn't available, I'd probably go with Hield who should be the most ready shooter of the bunch.  likely frees up Hunter, Young and even AB as trade bait. (Hunter and Young would be immediate, AB wouldn't be trade bait until Hield shows he could fill that slot competently.)

I'd trade back with Denver, 3rd pick for the 7th and Nurkic  8)

And then I'd draft Hield cause he's still gonna be there lol.

I don't really think a "good vet" of the sort that would be available for the 5th pick is gonna move the needle as much as a productive, cost-controlled prospect would.

I also don't like Bender or Brown nearly that much.  The floor for both guys is just too low for a top 5 pick if you ask me.

What if you could get Favors with the 5th pick? He is better than Hordford.

If we're going only by BPA, it's Kris Dunn all day every day. Immediate contributor, ability to get to his spot at any time and an improving jump shot. Also a great rebounder for position and the potential to become an elite defender.

I'll stop watching basketball if Dunn goes in the top 10

I wasn't a big fan of Hield to start the season but he has won me over.  I actually think that Hield and Ingram are the two best fits for the C's.  Hield is an amazing scorer.  Averaging 25 pts a game while shooting 50% from the field 46% from 3 and 88% from the line.  While playing in one of the best conferences in the country.  Thomas and Hield back court sure would be nice....

This. We need scorers at this point. No more "scrappy, gritty" guys or whatever. We're past that point. That stuff makes for nice journalism and forum posts, but at the end of the day, you need to score to win the game. And grit can only take you so far
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Get ready to stop watching then. He's definitely top 10

Seen him 4 times in person and another 6 on television

All I see is length and "upside"

You need at least 1 nba level skill

Dunn is dime a dozen 12th player on the roster
