Joe is going to neutralize him in the playoffs. Celts are tougher, deeper, more hungry.

Isn't LeBron just the worst because he wants to play with his closest friends? What a scoundrel!

if you see through his BS this is just him saying my teammates aren't good enough.

LeBron has done plenty of questionable things in his career, but I just don't think this is one of them. He's just saying that he'd like to play alongside his best friends somewhere down the road. There's nothing about changing his team in the immediate future. This thread seems to be just another LeBron-bashing thread, because people on here are always looking for something to chastise him for.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Bottom line is this guy is making a mockery of the NBA.

The NBA is a business it is not LeBron's property where he gets to orchestrate playing with his friends.

You want to play with your friends? Start a freak show travelling team for charity or play for the US Olympics team.

Enough of the drama, Brenda.

Who cares, that's a bunch of old guys on one team. They would get whipped by the Warriors. LBJ can't scheme his way into a championship this time. Curry won't allow it.

Yeah, that team would struggle. Four guys who all need the ball in their hands. They would have epic moments, but they'd have less chemistry than Lebron thinks. It really only works if 2 of them come off of the bench, and that wouldn't happen.

These guys are reaching the age where it might work.  Wade will be 35 next year and is only playing 30 MPG now. He barely plays a full season anyway but I could see him being the 6th man.  Melo dominates the ball now partly because he has to.  I think he could easily play off the ball much more similar to how he played in the Olympics.

Lebron and Paul can both share most of the ball handling duties.  As these guys are entering their early 30s I can see the usage rate go down across the board where it could work. Not saying I'm rooting for it of course. :P

I am way more offended by what he said about UNI's loss to TA&M in the NCAA's...now that screams 'if things don't go perfect for you, just give up"  a great inspiration to young kids everywhere.

I know the panthers had one of the most epic losses ever, but do you really need to pile on if you are the best player in the world ? (well close to the best?)

Yea wasn't he like, "if I was up 12 with 45 sec left and I lost, I'd quit ball"?

Prob is, he was up 5 with 7 sec left against us, and he lost. So, shouldn't he have quit? Very comparable scenarios
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I read that statement differently than the author did. I didn't see him piling on, but rather saying that a devastating loss like that can be crushing. He clearly wasn't advocating that anybody actually quit.

After we lost to the Lakers in the Finals, I could barely talk about basketball for months. As a player, how crushing must a defeat like that be?

It is more that obvious that if you went through a loss like that it would be heartbreaking, but what he said, and the words he used...smh.  Well 95% of people in Iowa are seeing it as piling on.  I am definitely in that group.

Who cares...   Paul Pierce got KG and Ray..they built that team.    All players would like to play with other greats, let alone best friends...    I wish Paul and Walker would have made the finals....  but they needed help.   Spurs/Warriors/Lakers are the exception.    Dallas dint trade or sign a star FA... so they kinda did it too.   But look at theses recent teams...   Boston, Heat,  Houston....

Skimmed this thread.  Skimmed the article.  Too lazy to investigate further.

Hot take from my butt:   LeBron is talking about down the line.  He has no intention of leaving the Cavs.  He's saying he'd love to play with them before they retire and would be willing to take less money so the Cavs would open up cap space to sign them.   It's going to be a long time until Melo is a free agent so if that happens it will need to be a trade.  We heard some rumors that the Cavs were open to bringing in Melo this year if the Knicks were open to moving him... with maybe the Brooklyn pick going to the Knicks and Kevin Love going to Boston.  Sounds like that didn't happen, because the Knicks didn't want to move Melo.   As far as Wade is concerned, he's a free agent this summer, right?  LeBron could actually take less money to get his buddy Wade on board.   It wouldn't take too much effort to get Wade and Melo on the Cavs.   Chris Paul is another story... don't see the incentive for the Clippers to trade him and he's not a free agent for a while.
