smart or rozier, who's better? I would say, rozier. im tired of watching smart taking hero ball 3's
all the time. he doesn't know how to take it to the basket. with his size, he can easily drive to the lane, but he settles for contested, hero ball 3's which he makes 1/100.i'd say make him stay on the bench except for situational defensive plays or when celts is up by 20.
Give him another chance at improving his offense this summer, and if no improvement yet come next season, trade him at the deadline.
Rozier i would say has better ball handling skills, defense is above average and a much better offensive skills than smart.

While I, like many, am a little disappointed in Smart's offense, especially his 3-ball launching, the guy is a defensive genius with the strength and physicality to make him an elite defender, which he is close to now.

Rozier has a lot of promise with the physical tools and drive to be a starter....but he's not even close to being there yet. Smart is WAY ahead of Rozier...at the moment.

This is a great quote hinting at Roziers potential:

Quote
............In his workouts for the Celtics, the Louisville guard immediately stood out to the team because of his dominance in drills. Celtics co-owner Stephen Pagliuca spoke on what impressed him:
“We have one drill where a ball-handler has to dribble upcourt against two defenders,” Celtics co-owner Steve Pagliuca said. “Terry was the only guy I’ve seen in about 10 years of doing it who just went through two guys like they weren’t even there.”

The obvious answer is Smart. Who will be better in 2 years might be a more interesting question (I still say Smart) but as to who is better right now, it's obviously Smart. There's a reason Rozier hasn't been able to crack the rotation for most of the season. He's shown some flashes of some real talent that shouldn't be ignored but let's be real.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Rozier looks the part and sure is smooth with the ball, but he he is even worse than Marcus at offense and not even in the same ballpark on defense.

This isn't to say that Rozier doesn't have promise, he just needs to learn the game better.

Hopefully KO can pick up some of the offense without Crowder. Otherwise, Smart's ineptness on offense really hurts.

By the way, I believe they are the same age.

Smart by a mile. Rozier is no where near the defender Smart was when he came out.

Rozier is reluctant to shoot, and doesn't contribute a ton on offense unless it's in transition.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Smart , other than the awful three selection makes a ton of nice hustle and nice passes that turn into points is superior .

Rozier will,be a very nice player with another year under his belt .

Rozier has 3000min less experience than Smart and doesn't seem too far off.   I think he could be better with his physical attributes.    Smart's inability to score is starting to turn me off.   Ugly.

Everyone needs to calm the hell down about Marcus' poor shooting. There are many examples of guys whose shooting improved markedly at various stages of their careers. Really it is on CBS for apparently continuing to green-light him at such a critical stage of the season and just months before Durant possibly becomes available

Smart but solely because of his defense and Hustle but if CBS let Rozier with more freedom to shoot at times he can do better than Smart, he's not too shabby on defense.

you must be new here.  ;)
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

15% from 3 pt range in March.  I love the guy's game, but that if he can't shoot 30+ from there consistently, that's going to make him a career reserve.
