Strange. A week ago, we were a lock for 50 wins and a 3 seed. Why all the naysaying?

Our team us built on a house of sticks ......no big star like KG ......but lots of small cogs that make one very powerful teams IF all are healthy and operating at100% .

The team runs at maximum efficiency on when everybody is available and effort is 100%

Highly tuned .....needs all cylinders firing to beat the Star studded teams

Take a couple of those cogs out and beautiful part of the team concept fails , as the rest can't produce any more .

Tonight should give us some answers. Amir scares me the most. Some games he is great, but most of the time he reminds me of KG and shin splints. Sully has definitely been packing on some Big Macs and extra fries. He's not trying to get in shape. So sometimes Sully is great, but other times he's sweating buckets while everyone else is breathing normally. Kelly is rusty. I hope he snaps out of it tonight.

I am keeping an eye out for possible Coty and Jordan sightings. I'm hoping Brad Stevens has one of his better games tonight. There will be no excuses if we lose to Philly. If we lose the next two, I will join the headache club and whine about how we'll be getting swept in the first round to the Cavs. But I don't see that happening. I don't do panic. I'm thinking win tonight. I'm thinking blessing in disguises are on the immediate horizon. That is the plan. I will not be surprised if we beat Philly by 50 points.

Again, an NBA rotation is typically nine to eleven guys.  An NBA roster is fifteen guys.  The math is pretty simple.  Somebody is going to end up comprising the end of the bench. 

Right, and I'd prefer the guys in those slots to provide strategic depth (i.e. they can actually play when needed), or be younger draftees with higher upside.

I would say that our rookies still have plenty of upside.  Despite the almost pathological obsession with youth, I think it's very, very rare that you'll find a basketball player that is a finished product at twenty-one.  Those who are done improving at that age probably aren't worth keeping.

I'm hoping that at least one or two of Rozier, Hunter and Mickey will prove to be keepers who will play valuable minutes as Celtics within the next couple of years.  I don't think that's a far-fetched wish.

I'm still hopeful about that, too ... which is why I wanted the three you mentioned to actually get some time this year.

Kinda late now.  The Celts are fighting to maintain a decent playoff seeding now.  The time to experiment and integrate was earlier in the year, when we were trying to make David Lee happen.

You'll probably have to wait until next year.

You'll probably have to wait until next year.

I'm really interested to see what happens this summer.  With all of the draft picks, it's going to force Danny to do something.  I don't think Danny or Brad wants to have to develop so many guys at once, and I really doubt they want 7-8 guys on the bench with little to no NBA seasoning.

If the team loses tonight I wouldn't be shocked to see a thread about letting all the vets go and using all the draft picks in 2016-2017. Right after the Jordan Mickey HOF induction thread of course.
