I think RJ Hunter is a bad shooter. He has a unique fancy form, but he's no Pete Maravich.

This is my concern, too.

A shooting specialist who shoots 30% from deep isn't worth much, just ask Elliot Williams.

I think Young is a good shooter, but he lacks the other parts of the game which might show up with bad shooting. He lacks confidence. He may feel that he is in over his head. He may be correct. Hunter has potential as an all-around player, but he has to stop being flashy and more reliable with his jump shots.

Or bring back Marcus Thornton or Jordan Crawford for some quality chuckers.

hey 2016-sorta makes you want gigi back-sam jones once came to my high school and gave a shooting exhibition he must have hit 50 banks in a row, a machine that didn't miss
then he brought oua sheet with a hole and proceeded to serve tennis balls one after another
there are just special people in this world

Not sure about Hunter, but with Young, I strongly suspect the problem lies with not being good.  I didn't like it when he was drafted.  I'm a huge hater of no-defense scoring wings.

Thank you.  Let's call it like it is, Bust!

It's too early to give up on Young And Hunter. Plus I don't think they have been given much of a chance. If we can resign Turner as reasonable money then you might look to move one of these two though

RJ Hunter is a scorer not shooter.   They were none top flight picks, all of them are high risk, high reward and high bust and that includes Smart to some degree.   Danny is a gambler and he will take a guy who has dropped with some flaws who can play.   Some times this works well, other times not so much.

I haven't been able to see much of Hunter but towards the end of last season I thought Young was starting to show promise. It isn't great if he has regressed but he should be given more time. Even if he can show a bit more his value goes up.

Please stop.  Hunters how's signs of being decent especially as a defender and passers.  James young is garbage and Danny ainge blew it with this pick.  Another player we don't need instead of someone decent.
