First selection Jaylen Brown Cal. Freshman 16ppg 5 RPG best athlete in the draft 19 years old. Small Forward.

Second pick Denzel Valentine SF/SG/PG Amazingly well rounded player who can shoot pass and Dribble only drawback is Defensive Upside, although a rock solid team defender Michigan State product. 22 years old 20 ppg 8 RPG 7 apg. Triple double machine.

Last pick we move up to select Damion Jones Center Vanderbilt 20 years old. 14 ppg 7rpg 2 bpg. If y haven't seen him check him out. NBA athlete about 6'10" has midrange game good defender too.

I don't mind Valentine, he seems like a guy who could take ET's spot on the bench eventually. And I'm warming up to jaylen brown, but I think 2 rookies is enough. Give big man minutes to Mickey
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I'd be happy with that haul, though I wouldn't expect to see 'em play much at all next year.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I think our ol friend Bill Simmons is right, and Danny Ainge doesn't love this draft, maybe even if he does get Ben Simmons (although it does seem like every year drafts get described as bad or 'top heavy', yet still yield good to possibly great players, even well into the lottery and 1st round).

I think Danny'll trade the Nets pick, and then do what he always does, find a good character guy with okay talent in the teens or early 20s.

I'm OK with him to trading the pick so long as it's not a matter of exchanging a small chance at a really good player for a pretty nice but already at his ceiling established player.

If it did go down like that Brown would have to get minutes as a top 10 pick.

Valentine would find a way to get some minutes cause He's so darn versatile he would beat out Hunter or Young for minutes.
I would hope we could trade Hunter and or Young, ID take a first for both players maybe The Nets would give us an unprotected first for Hunter and Young lol.

I think if we take Brown you'd probably see the team move on from Turner and split his minutes between Smart, Brown, and Rozier.

There are just so many mouths to feed on this team.  Even if they let all the upcoming free agents go, you've still then got Hunter, Young, Mickey, and Rozier all waiting in the wings to get a chance to play and develop, none of them with meaningful NBA experience.  Very hard to integrate them and rookies next season if the team doesn't want to take a serious step back.

I think Brown is a risky pick in some ways.  So I for one, don't think that this would be best for us.  His jumpshot is sketchy.

If we end up drafting fourth I think this is a great outcome, but I'm hoping to draft higher than that so at this point those picks wouldn't make me happy.

If we are picking fourth if probably prefer a trade than picking Brown but would be fine with Jaylen as a fall back option. I would also prefer packaging picks to move up like a writer suggested here http://www.thebirdwrites.com/2016/2/23/11081096/2016-nba-draft-new-orleans-pelicans-trade-back-options-ben-simmons-buddy-hield-denzel-valentine

I also might prefer a stash to Jones or Valentine.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I would be happy and excited to get Jaylen Brown.

Don't much care about the later picks at this point.
