I'm told Rockets, Heat, Hawks discussing 3-way. Howard to ATL, Horford and Teague to Mia, Dragic and Whteside, Anderson to Hou.

Yes but are they planning on making any trades?

I think the best option is to consolidate our rookies ( Rozier, Hunter, and Young) for a serviceable mid-level player. Past that I think the best route to improving is to stay firm on the team and draft the BPA with the brooklyn pick, be it a point guard like Dunn.

You'd give up 3 1st round picks for a "serviceable mid-level player"? Glad you're not our GM.
I'd need to know who this mid level player is.

Tony Allen? Absolutely not.

Clint Capela? God yes

Right now

It s looking like EVEN Lee is not leaving .....ugh....

Should n't he been gone weeks ago......

Other than Lee ....I'm for standing pat on what we brung .

I'm scard unless it's a significant player .....like Love or sich. .......we stand to go backwards because of the immediate loss of chemistry from the standpoint of  the young guys have finally jelled .

Other words ....leave them "H "  alone and let them play.

in my mind a "serviceable mid-level player" is someone that is one the cusp of being and All Star or had been the previous year. a name like Teague jumps out as an example.

I have serious doubts we could get a Teague for that. Maybe if we get lucky and there's a guy that doesn't want to come back or a team that wants to rebuild. Maybe

While we haven't made a deadline deal with the kind of All-Star names that get thrown around lately, the deals we've made have been kept under wraps.  There wasn't a peep about Perkins being traded until it was announced.  So I wouldn't read too much into the relative silence happening now.

Sometimes the best trades are the ones you don't make.

That's an interesting definition of a serviceable mid level player. Sounds like Gordon Hayward. If Utah would go for those guys in a trade package I'd be game.  LOL  :)

Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

Most NBA front offices gathering steam on phones today, meeting as staffs to gauge truth of market. Real deadline discussions starting now.

You have a very interesting definition of serviceable. Yes, anybody here would take a borderline all-star for our back of the bench young players. The other teams would have to agree to it, though.

Not sure why it looks like we will do NOTHING, since there hasn't been any trades yet, but even if we don't do anything, waiting while building assets and remaining flexible to jump on any situation where teams need to involve the Celtics to get something done isn't a terrible place to be.  Not while we are winning AND own a terrible team's first round draft pick for the next three drafts.
