Nothing is going to happen until the offseason unless we get a highway robbery of a trade.  From the day of the Pierce/KG/Jet trade, it was pretty clear that was the case.  We weren't getting good draft picks until now and none of the real salaries were expiring until this summer. It's just that Brad Stevens is so good that we're competitive when nobody thought we would be.  If ATL wants to lose a ton of revenue by early exiting the playoffs from a Horford trade, then maybe they give him to us for some non-BK picks, but I doubt it.

While I do feel as though there is a good chance we don't do anything this is a bit too soon too declare. Most deals come together very quickly at the last minute when asking prices drop or teams increase there offers. There is still 72 hours until the deadline which is plenty of time for things to happen.

Agreed, nobody saw the IT trade coming last year and it worked great for us so I'm in for another cool surprise.

True was just getting a little excited at the thought of maybe getting Dwight but he's interested in the Hawks or Miami pretty sure that's dead from our point of view why go after him. That probably takes Horford off the table too as the Hawks seem to be pursuing Griffin now.

Dude, have you learned NOTHING? Last year we got IT with 10 minutes left to go in the deadline. Deals aren't generally made until the last day and there's still plenty of time left. The Cs may make a deal and they may not, but thinking that Danny is doing nothing is just wrong.

None of Danny's trades (except KG) have ever come with rumors preceding it.  Well, we all knew Rondo was on his way out but when and to whom and for what was a surprise.  I don't understand why people don't seem to get this.  I love rumors as much as the next guy, even more probably, but I have actually come to be disappointed by them as I know once word gets out of a "discussion" Danny has had, he has already moved on, if they ever really happened at all.

Really not the worst thing in the world, so long as we still make a trade this summer before Free Agency.

In fact, that's probably best case scenario, because we wouldn't disturb the awesome chemistry and upward momentum of our current squad before the playoffs.  And we still have the option of bringing all our same guys back next year if they end up overachieving in the playoffs (plus a lotto pick).

I, personally, don't put a ton of weight into the theory that teams typically get better bargains at the deadline vs. the summer.

Like others have said, though, if Danny does anything, it'll probably be last minute and/or unexpected. I'd love to be "disappointed" if it means Danny pulling another IT out of his magic hat.

I think the best option is to consolidate our rookies ( Rozier, Hunter, and Young) for a serviceable mid-level player. Past that I think the best route to improving is to stay firm on the team and draft the BPA with the brooklyn pick, be it a point guard like Dunn.

Rozier and Hunter cant even hold their own in the D-league. Young is hit and miss over there. The only player of value is Mickey. If those set of players can get like Lopez and Young, id be happy with that. I'm past the point in being delusionaly optimistic of the rookies.
