Part of his job is to get players ready for the nba which means playing top freshman recruits and playing around their skills. If that isn't part of his job then don't make players go to college.
i am next to positive that no where in his contract does it say he is required to prepare his college players for the nba.
I'm not talking about his contract, I'm talking about his job, his responsibility. If you are going to require players to go to college then part of his job and responsibility is to prepare players for the nba. If someone is going to college to become a teacher it is the professors job to not only prepare them for exams, it is also to prepare them to be a teacher.
If his job is to prepare guys for the next level (whatever that may be), shouldn't that include guys like Perry Ellis and Wayne Selden as well?
Or should they just be benched in favor of incoming freshmen because they haven't moved on yet?
I agree that part of being a college coach at a school like Kansas is helping to prepare kids for the next level of basketball, but the primary goal is still to win games.
As far as his comments about his player's last second dunk, I don't really have a strong opinion either way.
