Maybe he is on the trading block [for real] now?
What would you trade for a guy who is injured and injured why out injured allegedly assaulting a team employee? He might be looking at assault charges. He might be out the rest of the year with his fractured hand.
Would you want to bring that guy into your locker room? The equipment staff would probably demand raises.
Sometimes that's how you get a bargain though.
Suns traded away Jason Kidd who at the time was reigning All-NBA 1st team, All-Defensive 1st team, and league leader in assists, because he beat his wife (for the moral upgrade that was Stephon Marbury no less). Then he immediately led his new team to back-to-back Finals appearances.
Of course that's the only example I can think of, and that was 15 years ago, but there's hope! Blake Griffin for Sully!
Edit: Knicks also traded for Sprewell at a bargain price after he chokes his coach, then he immediately leads the Knicks to the Finals. Of course that was even further back in '99. Moral of the story, if you can trade for a violent man, do it, guaranteed trip to the Finals!
