Cavs need to either bring Love from the bench or trade him.   Or Tristant Thompson

bench is hurting.

Lue can only do so much
I've been saying for awhile now, I think they need to go small with Love, James, Smith, Shumpert, and Irving as the starting 5.  I think that would significantly open up the paint for Love down low, which is what he needs to be truly effective.  They can't do that against every team of course, but I think they would create a much better offensive flow and serious matchup nightmares for other teams.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I liked that he called out his team for not being in good enough shape after the game.  Took some cojones.
It did not take cojones, it took Lebron's permission.

It's OK, LeBron is basically the coach now.

Yeah, you know he wasn't looking at Labron when he said that. I must have had a conversation with LBJ, with both agreeing, before the words came out of his mouth.

We will see what he says after a loss Saturday night on ABC.

I don't get the Lebron bashing. He and the whole team didn't mesh with Blatt. Frankly, that's on Blatt. If the coach doesn't earn the players' respect and get them to buy in, that's on him.

Jury's out on Lou. He has political capital with Lebron, and calling out the team for their conditioning was a bold and admirable move. I don't think he's quite the basketball mind that Blatt was, but he might be a better leader for the team.

And Lebron is a good leader. I know people around here don't like him, but I have nothing but the utmost respect for how he's conducted himself since The Decision.

I like this post.  Agreed it is completely on Blatt.  He was super arrogant from the get-go and the team wasn't buying what he was selling.  Tough to do your best work for a boss you don't like.  Can say the same about playing for a coach you don't like.

Both Chris Bosh and Kevin Love have openly and publicly spoken out about how difficult it is to play with Lebron - that everything revolves around him, and you basically have no choice but to accept that and adjust, even if it means not getting the most out of yourself.

Lebron constantly take plays off on defense - this is a well known fact.

Lebron constantly complains to officials after every single call that doesn't go his way.

There are many aspects of Lebron's career (both in the past, and recently) that go strongly against the idea that he is a good leader.

A good leader tries to do all they can to make the players around them better.  Lebron seems to be more interested in forcing everybody around him to compromise their games so that he can play the way he wants to.

Lebron is an amazing talent - without a doubt he is one of the top 5 or 10 most talented players to ever play the game.  But a 'good leader' is probably not a term I would use to describe the man.

Just my 2c

Why is Delladova playing ahead of Mo Williams?
Their bench needs offense and they are not playing Mo Williams?

Why is JR Smith starting ahead of Iman Shumpert?
Move Smith back to the bench. Fix those 2nd unit offense problems.

It's hilarious, lots of rumblings that some of these issues where at the root of why Blatt was fired and why some of the vets had animosity towards him, etc.

And in comes Lue who is supposed to "fix" this issue, and he's doing more of the same.

So here's to "not different, but better" - Ty Lou.

Cavs smashed San Antonio with complete domination offensively.

Love has now gone for 20+ three straight times.

Yeah. Love is the one with the biggest gripes as Blatt was actually harming Love's career with his inability to integrate Love. Blatt seemed in over his head as much as anyone.

That is a big development. If Love can continue that, the Cavs will really be scary because their chemistry and unity will improve greatly.
