I don't get the Lebron bashing. He and the whole team didn't mesh with Blatt. Frankly, that's on Blatt. If the coach doesn't earn the players' respect and get them to buy in, that's on him.
Jury's out on Lou. He has political capital with Lebron, and calling out the team for their conditioning was a bold and admirable move. I don't think he's quite the basketball mind that Blatt was, but he might be a better leader for the team.
And Lebron is a good leader. I know people around here don't like him, but I have nothing but the utmost respect for how he's conducted himself since The Decision.
Both Chris Bosh and Kevin Love have openly and publicly spoken out about how difficult it is to play with Lebron - that everything revolves around him, and you basically have no choice but to accept that and adjust, even if it means not getting the most out of yourself.
Lebron constantly take plays off on defense - this is a well known fact.
Lebron constantly complains to officials after every single call that doesn't go his way.
There are many aspects of Lebron's career (both in the past, and recently) that go strongly against the idea that he is a good leader.
A good leader tries to do all they can to make the players around them better. Lebron seems to be more interested in forcing everybody around him to compromise their games so that he can play the way he wants to.
Lebron is an amazing talent - without a doubt he is one of the top 5 or 10 most talented players to ever play the game. But a 'good leader' is probably not a term I would use to describe the man.
