Hopefully we get a chance to see sooner rather than later, I'm intrigued. Steve B yesterday on what the Cs will likely try to do at the trade deadline:

Quote
The more reachable goal [than getting a star] for the Celts is finding a loving home for one or more of their big men, freeing up valuable developmental playing time for people like Kelly Olynyk, who has proven worthy of additional minutes.

And the feeling is growing stronger here that the C’s would like to get Jordan Mickey on an NBA floor sometime soon. The kid is tearing up the D-League, and, other than exercise and reps, he’s sort of outgrown the larger benefits of the minors. It’ll be interesting to see how his game translates to the next level, and, if the results are as positive as some believe, Mickey’s presence could impact the type of moves the Celtics attempt."

I thought they might keep him in Maine for the season to bulk him up, but nooooooooo. I think someone's gone soon.

A winner of the on drugs olympics.  Really Mickey might look good in the d-league and he has athleticism but it isn't near a guy liek Larry Nance never mind Larry Nance with a better jumper and more range.  He isn't even Serge Ibaka as far as explosiveness.  Those guys were blue chip prime athletes.  Cedric Maxwell was an undersized forward with underrated athleticism and a nose for the ball, good fundamentals and a high motor.

The rest of you are on crack.

Weren't you the guy who said Rozier was the biggest draft steal of all time???

We are talking about absolute ceilings and Mickey had the base to be a really good player of EVERYTHING goes perfect for him.

Relax.

I think Mickey is actually a better basketball player than Taj. He's more instinctive.  Taj is a good athlete with a high motor but not the most instinctive guy out there.

all you can do here is express your opinion, no need for infantile abuse so I suggest you withdraw your rude remarks. By the way the question was highest ceiling which in my opinion means if he continues to improve how well can he get. Fun topic to predict the future and not where he is now. Therefore, unless anyone here has some magic crystal ball that shows the future all we can do is make prognostications.

Relax.

Rozier actually is more of an athlete than Mickey.  He was drafted at 16 for a reason. No offense. I am relaxed.  Rozier out of any of our rookies is the best athlete.

Mickey is the most polished of our prospects so far.

I mean to be the best draft steal at pick 16 he'd have to be a sure fire hall of famer.

I still like Rozier.  I haven't backed away from that. I think it was a good pick considering who was there.  He gives us a lot of options too as far as Turner and other guards down the road. We might trade him but he should be good too.

Rozier is a better athlete, plays with a high motor, keeps the pressure on the defense. He isn't as polished as mickey fundamentally but he can shoot it too. Rj is our best shooter from this class.  But Rozier has a lot of potential as well particularly as a scorer.

Rozier is a beast too.  I'm not worried about it

Mini Lillard. Or a guy like Lowry.  I think that's who I compared him too.  I said if he becomes that he should be considered one of the biggest steals of all time. I don't think i said he was. Time will tell on all these guys.  But he has that potential.

He's actually bigger than Lillard I think and a better defender. But overall his upside is that of a poor man's lillard.

I agree I think rosier will be a nice player. Point is I don't think it's any more ludicrous to say Jordan Mickey will put up 20-10 and 2 (nance/bosh type numbers) then it is to say Rozier will become a sure fire hall of famer

Fwiw I have no idea what to expect from Mickey and I see rozier as a lot like oladipo

I was just joking anyways. People are having fun.  I'm just trying to be more realistic here. Unless they really believe he is going to be better than Larry Nance which he is not.  I don't think Rozier is better than Lillard. I think he has really good potential though.

Ainge made 3 really good picks based on potential.  Who knows who is going to end up better but they were drafted at their spots for a reason.

Rozier could totally bust for all I know but I hope not. That's not why we drafted him. Higher picks have higher bust potential. That's just how it goes.

Absolutely. Haven't seen the Junior's game.
