The addition of Ryan Anderson would hurt our defense considerably. Our rebounding will suffer as well.

The rebounding is true, but as usual you tend to ignore the points that do not agree with your point of view.   He spreads the floor, he can score reliably, not good one game and poor the next like say Sully.  It would be nice to have a stretch four that can shoot instead of stretch marks.

Stop living in ignorance and you might learn something about how the NBA works and the value of things.

Since when does poor shooting, equate to how the NBA works?  Your going to see the value of things pretty quickly I think coming up.  When a person, goes straight for an insult, then you know 90% of they do not have a valid response.

Says the guys with Budweiser in his name, do really think any one takes you serious?   I think it is a compliment, if someone of your ilk,  callsl me ignorant.    You have made my day, thanks!

So yeah, the fascination for him is a head scratcher

I am not saying that we should trade for him.

But I do not think we should rely year after on year on guys who performance detoriates through out the season and do not take care of themselves.  Also, his shooting has been all over the place.  His talent for rebounding some games outperforms his deficits, but quite a bit lately it does not.   I think CBS has to play him, because he has to, not because he likes his game  or approach to the game.  I do think Sully is better coming off the bench.

I for one, do not think that we are one or two moves away.   The guys who really like these deals always think that.

The reality of the matter is our bigs are suspect.   All of them have huge gaps in their game and none of them are really solid two way guys who show up every day.

Again, we're suffering from players who can play CENTER reliably. The only one we have in our team doing that is Sullinger and Amir. That's IT. And you want a stretch 4 who can shoot? We have Olynyk for that. Adding Anderson will not make us better by the simple fact that his defense is atrocious, and of course the rebounding.

Ignoring everything I said about the value of assets, which is the main gist of everything. So you insult me, I shoot back I'm the one that doesn't have a valid response? (Yet I elaborated for the those who are actually interested in an actual discussion), all that you very artfully removed from the post. Good job.

I know it's difficult to admit that  Sullinger's defense has been quite good this year, which is why you refrain to even mentioning defense in any of your analysis when Sully is concerned. But that's the reason Stevens is playing him. It's the main reason why play-wise, getting an expiring Anderson makes no sense with this team. In the end whomever CBS likes or not is irrelevant to whether I'd trade for Anderson or not for all the things I mentioned earlier which again you cleverly removed from my post.

If you're only looking at half a season (regardless of who you feel is the best player) you're being very short sighted.

But good to know you're not saying we should trade for him since you're so heatedly proclaiming his virtues. O.o

I'll give you the last word, having any discussion of relevance with you has shown to be a lost cause. You're set in your ways. You took your positions years ago, you have no interest in anything but talk crap about the fat dude, whether truthful or not, whether relevant or not.

Lees contract is problem.  Many teams would like s good vet presence off the bench who can score, pass and rebound well.  Indy?

Agreed -- like Humphries a few years ago, Lee's contract makes him untradeable. Anyone who likes him cannot afford to match salaries to make a deal work.

Only Lee option in a trade is as cap filler in a larger deal.

This is probably true. By the same token, wasn't trying to shoot for him as a filler in a larger deal the reason we made the trade in the first place?

So in all, we're right back were we started. Certainly hard to move. We got a bit of value off Humphries by signing-and-trade, but considering that everyone will have cap space next year, that's a long shot.

Right now I'm siding strongly as a buyout candidate post trade deadline, unless the Celtics are rolling at the time and want to keep their depth.
