Can we give David Lee the Keith Bogans Treatment? His expiring contract right now might still have value, so it doesn't make much sense to buy him out just yet; only after the trade deadline should he be bought out. Right now it seems like he doesn't stop complaining to the media every chance he gets as to how unhappy he is from his playing time. Clearly is a player that overestimates his production and still lives in a world where he is still 25.

Is he bringing it up, or just answering questions he is asked?  I have no problem at all with him wanting more PT.  As long as he respects the coaches decision, and isn't being divisive in the locker room then I don't see a need to Bogans him. 

Post deadline, if he wants a buyout, I would be fine with that.

I really don't see him being bought out in any form or fashion. Maybe as a favor to the agent, but I don't see anyone of real relevance in his portfolio to really bother with giving this agent a solid.

If not mistaken his contract is still available to be traded during the draft... so you can't let go of that asset.

You are mistaken.  A contract that is expiring or could end due to an option can't be traded during the off-season like that.

What team would Lee fit with at this point? I thought he would fit here because he is a good rebounder and passer for a big which I thought fit Stevens' style because CBS values passing and the team needed a big who could rebound, but man his defensive woes/lack of spacing outweigh all his positives.

He's the prime example of what the NBA is turning away from.

Lees contract is problem.  Many teams would like s good vet presence off the bench who can score, pass and rebound well.  Indy?

I don't think Lee is a problem like Bogans was. He was askde a question and gave a good answer. And I even think he's got some game in him but he can't defend like Amir or shoot like Olynyk, or rebound like Sullinger (anymore) and he can't really play center, just PF. That leaves him on the outside looking in.

Yep, you're correct. Then sure, I can see a buyout looming if it's looking like he will go unused for the duration.

The Celtics should prefer to keep him unless he would go unused even if the team suffered an injury or two in the frontcourt.
