Hard to watch the last couple of games and feel particularly good about the Celts as a postseason competitor, even if they manage to get into the playoffs. Just too easy to get exposed by teams with size, even crappy ones.
I still think we might pull off a move or two in the next couple months that could make us a semi threat. But as currently constructed, this team wouldn't go far at all.
But you never know what might happen at the deadline... maybe something like Smart + Brooklyn's 1st + Dallas's 1st + Boston's 1st + Sully for Melo.
A couple years ago that would've thrilled me but how many decent years does Melo have left? That's a straight Meh trade at this point. Giving up way too much just to make an incremental upgrade for a couple years.
Only a "meh" trade if Brooklyn stays in the bottom 5. If they go on a mini run they could be out of the bottom 10 by the deadline... and then I'm not sure that offer would be enough for Melo.
you mean a run for a team that may have lost their pg for a while?

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
