I guess this got a little sidetracked from what I was trying to ask, as often happens discussing the 76ers.
Why is Stauskas completely out of the rotation?
Why is Covington only playing 23 minutes?
Why Noel only 27?
Noel has only played 30 minutes a game 3 times out of 10 this month. He did have an eye injury but that shouldn't impact his stamina.
If these guys are their legit future prospects, and they are not going to cause them to win games, why not give them the 34 minutes a night old friend joe johnson gets?
I already answered this in the thread. Covington had a terrible game. Shot horribly, turned the ball over a lot, etc. Noel has had wrist injuries as well as the eye. They aren't going to go crazy with his minutes. He played 27. That is a pretty solid number (and he didn't play the last couple in a blow out). I mean Okafor only played 33. And Stauskas has been horrible all season. He just isn't good. He is probably the worst player on that team right now. He can't hit a shot, he can't defend, he can't dribble, he can't pass, etc. He just isn't good. He shouldn't be playing.
You are obviously not the most reliable source of answers regarding the 76ers cause you have a well earned reputation of "polishing the turd" especially with respect to their role players and have a positive spin on everything that happens with them. That being said, Noel has only played 30 minutes 3 times in 10 games this month. I haven't seen much written about a wrist injury, and if it is serious enough that they limit his minutes, why risk playing him at all?
You also have said that the team would get better when Wroten (and to a lesser extent Marshall) returned. This has not happened.
Noel has missed multiple games this year because of a sore wrist. Pretty easy to google. I guess laziness just runs rampant on this forum.
Wroten is coming back into form. He was -1 last night (they were -13 without him on the floor), had 7 assists, 5 rebounds, though just 7 points. And he played 28 minutes (first time all year more than half the game and only second time more than 20 minutes). So Philly lost by 1 in the 28 minutes he played and lost by 13 in the 20 minutes he didn't play. Seems like Wroten makes them better. I never said Wroten was going to make them a good team, only that they wouldn't be as bad. You picked an odd game to make that point since Wroten made them better and Marshall didn't even play.
You at various times have said the following:
Hollis Thompson is an NBA rotation player that would get minutes on the warriors
Robert Covington is an NBA rotation player that would be in any rotation
Tony Wroten is an NBA Calibar rotation player
Jakaar Sampson is ok
You are also very high on Nerlens Noel, Okafor and I believe Grant.
So if they have 6 NBA players and two of them are future stars (possibly a few others, tough to keep your garbage straight, why are they riding an 11 game losing streak when most of those players are healthy? Why will they set the NBA record for losses in a season?
