i hate that and don't think that is helping developement
,that was a nightmare exhibition by zeller, rozier, hunter last night
i like it when they blend players in that frantic play doesn't lead to good habits-

After every win I can count on you to find 1 negative thing and write a 2-4 line post about it.

What do you propose a team should do at the end of a blowout if not a wholesale clearing of the bench? The end of the bench guys play hard in practice and deserve a chance to play in a blowout.

Sure they played badly during that stretch but what is the alternative? Playing a starter or two minutes they don't need to be in on the second night of a back to back? Leaving all the starters out there?

the blending of players,call timeouts to calm the rookies,keep a take charge guy on court-the opposition is going to be racing and chucking and taking risks-don't get drawn into their game of helter skelter spread the court,pass the ball ,don't over dribble and use the clock and draw fouls-

I'm of the school of thought that once the game is in hand you want to get your team out of the gym without any of your rotation players injured.

Let the young guys play through their mistakes and use them as teaching points when they watch the film. With the game in hand it's more about getting players who don't play much some time rather than trying to outscore your opponent, imo.

Coach Stevens can make all the things you listed talking points in film after the game. Who cares if the rookies are calm at that point? The game is in hand and everyone is just trying to go home? You are describing a strategy of coaching to win the game once the game is already won.

went back and looked at my posts,in a way i agree with you but it has been focused on lee as a starter and his missing easy layups ,getting blocked all over the place in philly and some un veteran passes-my apologies to the board

tp for that-we were in semi finals of final four in england and lost our best player with a large lead in last thirty seconds  to a sprained ankle-lost in finals in last two minutes-non there is always the what if haunt--even worse he came down on my sons foot

To be fair to rollie, most scouts think rozier has already hit his ceiling. Haha.

Zeller play is trash .....no energy , no emotion , no sacrifice for team .  Amir is making Zeller worthless.

Something strange happened with Zeller even before he got benched. I don't know, it's like he had no interest in the game or his mind was someplace else. maybe it is too much pressure from Amir and Kelly!!!

I've never expected our rookies to get meaningful minutes this year.  Depth isn't something Boston has a problem with.  There's 11 solid guys on this team who can play basketball.   Garbage time is about the only time you should expect to see the rookies get any run until a trade clears out the roster.  Maybe one of them gets 10 minutes once in a while (the Pressey role)... Enjoy the fact that we had 6 minutes to give them free reign to play pressure-less basketball.  Yah, they managed to make Jordan look like a brilliant GM in the process, but 6 minutes of garbage time means one of the teams is getting curb-stomped... and we happened to be the ones doing the curb-stomping.  It was a good thing.
