A lot of times the game is moving too fast for refs. The "turnover" called on Olynyk for the in-bounds play was ridiculous.
I do like the New Jersey setup for instant replay. Though Gorman was getting a bit grouchy and wanted the game to resume. I think the league should fine or somehow penalize the Rocket for stepping all over Amir. He just got a technical? That's how brawls start.
Hunter is a lot smoother than Rozier, so I think he will get more of a pass from refs. Rozier is helter skelter, shades of a young Rondo, and refs don't know him.
That is a great point about Marcus being so skilled as a defender that it is paying off with refs. Marcus Smart is getting star calls for defense? He doesn't need that kind of help. I am also impressed with Smart's ball handling and drives to the hoop. Avery Bradley is probably the glue to go with Turner and Sully. Those are three guys who are absolutely helping us win games despite my throwing them under the bus at various times over the last couple years.
I don't think the C's are the #6 best team in the NBA. Maybe they are, but no one can predict the future. They do seem to be a top ten team. They just need to figure out the Indiana's and Toronto's, teams that have already proven they are not easy outs.
I could see the C's running the table against the worst teams, dominate mediocre ones, and steal a few from the elite. That translates to 50-55 wins. That translates to a top ten team.
Whether that translates into being a half decent threat in the playoffs, no one knows. For now, it appears that the C's are in a very nice spot. In two years, we went from the bottom of the barrel to the tier just below Cleveland. I no longer even fear Memphis. The Clipper games should be fun. The trading season could make us a threat, though I am hoping Danny doesn't make any hasty moves, like the rumor he was giving away the shop to Michael Jordan for one player Winslow.
