We were 1-3 now we are 5-4.

Our wins weren't against scrubs either!

Wins: Wiz, Bucks, Hawks, Thunder
Loss: Pacers

That's pretty dang impressive.

Almost beat them that first time...
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Is it just me, or is every Celtics win against a good team by double digits? lol

Seems we're becoming more consistent, too, even in the face of injuries.

CBS man

I give coach a lot of credit, but you take take it away from the players - they have done a great job of being patient with all the rotation changes (and limited minutes) and coming together as a team.

Guys just playing hard every night.

Most of these double digit wins by the Celtics have been close games leading up to the 4th quarter - and then we've just blown opponents out at the end of the game.  Leads me to suspect that the extra depth of this team ( which allows us to have guys play fresh and energized for 48 minutes without drop in talent) is starting to really wear teams down.

I think by the time other teams have played 36 minutes against us their starters are drained and have nothing left in the tank, and our reserves are coming in and just tearing them apart.

Before this game the Celtics were 5-5, were 5th in the East in points scored, 6th in the East in fewest points allowed, and 7th in the entire league in point differential (+4.4).  Tough to beat a team that is playoff caliber on both ends of the court.  When our offense doesn't fall we can always fall back on our defense, and when a team finds a way through our defense they still need to find a way to stop our scoring.

After this game we are 5-4 and our win differential should jump to about +5.9 which would be right on the heels of Toronto (+6.0), Miami (+6.4) and Cleveland (+7.2).

Avery Bradley game back from injury... that is all.

That is why we should sell high on Avery Bradley. See if we can get a big for him. There is a log jam at guard on this team. I say sell high on Avery :)

Likely we would have a better record if CBS didn't insist on starting Lee and Zeller first few games.

We have a logjam in the frontcourt not on guards. Only 3 guards that play are Smart, Bradley and IT4.

or not. he missed 2 games, one was a loss, he is as much a part of the turnaround as everyone else not named Zeller (poor guy)!

He tried something he thought would work and abandoned it immediately when it didn't. It's a credit to him if anything.

I didn't get to watch the game yet but I'm super excited to do so!  Really happy to see that Marcus had a big game.

(That said, Westy tends to not play defense when he's carrying the Thunder offense)

An aside:  I'm so glad I have League Pass.

The Celts won by 15 and EVERY SINGLE HIGHLIGHT on NBA.com is of something the Thunder did.

Never change, NBA.com.  Never change.

He must never play defense because he carries/co-carry every game... pfft.

Houston hasn't been playing well either.  If we win both of these road games I'd  be thrilled.

That's an understatement. Houston has been downright awful, I expect to blow them out.

Houston worry me a little bit as far as matchups go - mainly because of Dwight.

I know he's not quite as beast as he once was, but still I have no idea who on our roster could possible check him.  Sully is about the only guy strong enough, but he's nowhere near quick enough to stick with Dwight.

Harden worries me less because Smart has shut him down before, so I'm pretty confident in the ability of the Smart/Crowder combo to make his life very difficult.

In the same boat as you. Firing up the game now. I am so excited to watch my boy Smart duel Westbrook.
