With Noel, Stauskas, Covington, and Okafor out there, the Sixers almost look like an honest-to-goodness NBA team.

They really do. Playing well early on and it genuinely doesn't feel flukey.

Stauskus also off to a good start. And geez, Noel just keeps going...

Oh boy, Noel with a great steal and then he just gets too excited and loses all control of the ball.  Embarrassing.

Kind of a microcosm of the Sixers as a whole.

Noel and Okafor both really look good though.

Ah hahaha Nerlens Noel just managed to get an uncontested breakaway, bobble his dribble, and wind up flinging the ball off the back of the backboard as he stumbled out of bounds.

It's nice to be reminded that there are still some plays I could make at an NBA level  :)

If you put an above average point guard on this team, and put a couple of reliable veterans on the bench, I think the Sixers might actually challenge for a playoff spot in the East.

You mean stealing the ball from Anderson Varejao and breaking down the court before anybody could run up behind you and block your layup?

Agreed. Related to the up-and-comers, any one know Jabari's timetable? Milwaukee has been looking like they could use his help.

Let's not go too crazy - they could be a year away from a spot, maybe.  But they'd still be too inconsistent at too many key spots to string together the 36-40 wins they'd need.

With the element of surprise probably, but to be fair I think players are specifically told to let security handle that kind of fan issue.

Stauskus is going to be a player. He can shoot and make plays off the dribble.

He's coming back Wed I think - wanted to wait for a home game.

So is the entire thread switching over to Bucks-Nets in unison now?

I'm with you, perfect timing. Let's go Milwaukee feed (we know where we stand :) )

Kinda feel like we're leaving behind poetry-in-motion.

I mean, put it this way, if you put Jeff Teague at point on this team and, say, Devin Harris, Tayshaun Prince, and Zaza Pachulia on the bench, I think they could be pretty decent.

Yeah, it's amazing how pathetic the Kings are at developing players.  They signed Belinelli this off-season to be exactly what Stauskas appears more than capable of being for the Sixers right now.

I like this McConnell kid, too.

I gotta be honest, I don't think this Bucks team is gonna be very good.  Maybe they'll pick it up when Jabari gets back.  I think they've still got to figure out how to make the pieces fit.

It's too bad Brook Lopez is stuck on this Nets team.  I like watching him play, I just hate watching every other aspect of this Nets team.  Except for watching them lose, of course.

Ehhh I think they'll be pretty bad.
