Loving the D1 Russell era.   LA is going to be bad for a very, very long time.

Rondo seems annoyed the lakers didn't offer him a contract... He's having a classic rondo spite game.

Nothing to add on Randle (3 pts, 2 reb, 1-4 FG, 1-4 FT, 5 TO's) and your pre-season whipping boy Cauley-Stein (17 pts, 9 reb, 3 blks, 7-8 FG)? Are you still calling Cauley-Stein "Biyombo 2.0"?

Lakers were destroyed talent wise .  Boogie toyed with them

Clarkson is really the ONLY guy they have other than Hibbert who could start on a legit NBA team .

Bass is lost on this team of selfish players .

Russell is couple years away from being significant .....as is Randle from being even good as Sully ......if he is lucky .

While you have uncle Lou , Swaggy P and Kobe ball hogging and firing away like crazy from three.

No ball movement .  Hibbert moving in SLOW motion . .....but he cloggs the paint nice at times.

Basically the Lakers have NO defense or anybody that cares to play defense.

A coach who is ASLEEP at the wheel ......stands watching .....like us fans ..... ???

If I was a Lakers fan .......I wouldn't buy tickets OR LP

Basically Rondo was playing a D league team .    It was practice for him.

How many games has Cauley-Stein played? Still with that Biyombo stuff, huh? You should strongly reconsider that. It takes away credibility from your other points.

Yep, all 4 pts he scored were completely devestating.

If I formed my opinion after 1 basketball game, I'd be calling Karl Towns the best player in basketball and lamenting the fact we didn't tank last season.

Stein had a good game against Ryan Kelly.  My opinion may change over the course of the season, but not after 1 game.   Stein in game 1:  2 points, 2 rebounds 0 assists, 0 blocks, 0 steals.  I didn't base my opinion of him on that game either.

He averaged a healthy 5.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.3 blocks in 23.5mpg  during the pre-season... which compared nicely with Biyombo's 5.3 points, 7.4 rebounds a 1 block in 20.5mpg.  Obviously calling WCS "poor man's Biyombo" is intended somewhat tongue-in-cheek, but I think they are about even.  What Biyombo did as a starter in the NBA last year was better than what WCS did in his 3rd year of COllege basketball last season.   I don't anticipate Stein much better than Biyombo right now or long term.  They both should develop into nice rebounders/defenders.    Wouldn't be shocked to see Stein's stats better this year... it depends on who gets more minutes.

But don't you do exactly that? You were calling WCS a bust/poor man's Biyombo before he even played a regular season game. You've annointed Randle as a budding superstar after a few preseason games. You've gone nuts about Embiid and he hasn't even played a game yet.

It's funny how you said WCS performance was against Kelly, but didn't bother saying that it was mostly against Hibbert and he was matched up against Randle a lot.

Nice highlights.  I change my mind.  Boston should have tanked.   Superstars 10 picks deep.  What a shame.

I'd wager that Ainge would take Cauley-Stein every day over Randle. Definitely fills a need.
