Towns and Randle both looked good.

I thought Randle looked sloppy.
15 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists in 30 minutes... in what it essentially his first ever NBA game?   Not bad.

I had Randle (and Vonleh, tbh) before Smart, but could rationalize our pick knowing that Rondo was on his way out. I do think Randle will be really good ... still hopeful that Smart can become a 2-way player that will offset differences, though. Gotta get to 15 ppg for that to have been the right pick imo.

And I like Smart. Vividly recall him finishing strong over Embiid near the end of his tenure. Surprised he shies away when the going gets tough ... I thought he became a lot more passive/settling after he was blocked by Okafor (I think) on a drive tonight.

Of 5-13 shooting, everytime he had the ball, I thought it always slipped out of his hands.

A lot of people predicted Randle was a 15 and 10 guy .  Not surprised .   He was my pick in the draft , but I enjoy Smarts game too.   And it was very wise of Danny to take Marcus ,given the Rondo situation .   So we most likey took the guy we really needed , since we already have KO and Sully.

Fortunately for Celtics fans Lakers didn't take Oakfor .  That would have been a great pair with Randle.

Lakers fans will cry over this ones for next ten years.

I know I'm supposed to be rooting against Dallas. However, Jordan was the only Clipper that I liked (outside of Pierce obviously), and after his unprofessional fiasco with Dallas this summer, I dislike him just as much as Paul and Griffin now. I can't bring myself to root for the Floppers!

I agree, I've never been able to like the Clips, even with Pierce on the team now.

I'm genuinely enjoying the Magic play so far.

Hezonja is a delight.

I'm looking forward to when he and Aaron Gordon are both in the starting lineup for them.

No clue why they're starting Evan Fournier.

In other news, the Thunder's play looking as ugly as ever.

Detroit up on Chicago, too. It'd be pretty big for them to start off 3-0 against three good teams.

happy to see KD back, looking like his old self, at least in the box score.

Holy what.

Westbrook and Durant are a gift, folks.  Let's enjoy them as long as we have them.  Don't care how "ugly" it is at times

What a freaking turnaround for the Thunder. From 18 down, 16 down going into the fourth to winning the game in double overtime. I love this team.

They were so underrated going into the season... Ilyasova was a great pickup, perfect 4 next to Drummond and Morris has started off really well. Oh and Drummond may be the best center in the league.
