Prompted to look up Booker's recent stats after seeing his name pop-up in here recently. Wow, most recent young'n to tee off, I guess. Hey, Smart... any one home?!

Haha Memphis only had 9 guys and Lance still got a DNP-CD.   :D

Believe he had a wrist issue coming into the game

Oh well that takes some of the fun out of it.  Good to know though.

Lance has actually been really good in Memphis. Posting something like a PER of over 18, shooting over 50% from the field, and returning back to his Indiana form of erratic yet effective playmaking.

He's been better for Memphis than Jeff Green has been for the Clippers... or Memphis, for that matter. The fact that he's actually giving them anything at all is just icing on the cake, since the Grizzlies made the deal for the first rounder.

Ugh, Charlotte and Indiana and Atlanta are all winning.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

Charlotte beating Miami late in the third. It'll be good for them to beat Miami given that Miami is ahead of us right now. 3-6 is going to be a really close race for us, Atlanta, Miami, and Charlotte the rest of the way. I want 3 or 6 over 4 or 5.

Good grief, Charlotte, miss two consecutive free throws with 16 seconds left to give the Heat a chance to tie it with one possession.

We are basically tied with Miami, Charlotte and Atlanta. Who cares who wins of the three, we just have to take care of business.

And add McDermont to the list of players taken after Smart that are better (I'm only half kiddin at this point)

Charlotte won, which helps us.

The Nets lost, which helps our pick.

The Wizards won, which brings them closer to Dallas.

Utah is winning over the Suns, which honestly is beneficial either way, although I would give a slight edge to wanting Phoenix to win.

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/15006112/new-orleans-pelicans-anthony-davis-make-additional-24-million-all-nba-selection

Does Anthony Davis make one of the 3 all NBA teams this season?

Will the Pelicans poor record make any difference to his selection.

I no longer care because I don't think Brooklyn can catch them anymore!  I was pretty concerned that they were going to be neck and neck with BK and loved that this was there as motivation, since he needs to win some games to be considered.  He's not going to be an All-NBA 3rd teamer if the Pellies finish without 30 wins.   They probably can't even do that, but if they win 2 or 3, they'll be clearly ahead of the Nets and they probably are right now anyway.

As a celtics fan, perkins should be banned from playing anymore nba games. He has no place in the nba. Too many instances to recount these days.

So, tonight is a big NBA night for us with several relevant games that affect us or our draft picks. A perfect night tonight would be the following:

Denver beats Charlotte (helps our playoff positioning)
Detroit beats Brooklyn (moves our Brooklyn draft pick into a tie for the third worst record)
OKC beats Indiana (helps our playoff positioning by keeping Indy below us)
Houston beats Atlanta (both helps our playoff positioning and helps our Dallas draft pick)
Cleveland beats Miami (helps our playoff positioning)
Utah beats Chicago (helps our Dallas draft pick by Utah's record tying Dallas' record for last playoff spot)

I think at least four games will work out for us tonight (Detroit wins, OKC wins, Cleveland wins, and Utah wins) with the other two games being toss-ups.

The Golden State/San Antonio game will also be a good one to watch.

One of them will have a screw up and it's probably the Brooklyn game.
And Warriors will demolish the Spurs in San Antonio. No chance those old-timers stand a chance against the Splash Brothers and that dynamic offense.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. Because if you think the Spurs are old-timers that stand no chance against Golden State than you really don't know basketball.

So the Denver, Detroit, and OKC games ended in our favor, but the Houston, Cleveland, and Utah games didn't.

Edit: Utah has made this a game again.
